There's actually a bunch of the Turtle Beach headsets that will run on both platforms. They would require that daft adapter & the talkback cable on the XBone, sadly. I've been eying up the PX51's myself, but there's plenty of options to be had.
No personal experience with Astro, as I've been rocking a set of TB X11's for the past 3.5 years. I find the TB's to be super comfy with my glasses too. With the two new consoles in my arsenal, it's finally time to retire my old headset to PC use, and do an upgrade.
See you on PS4 & One, in 3 weeks :)

Yeah, I've got basically one solid month of playing the game on my home sound system. I'm gonna use that time to see what platform I use the most playing with friends. Then in Oct I'm moving to Cali for a bit and I'm gonna take one of them with me. It's REALLY for that time that I need a good headset so I can continue to play effectively on Fireteams and get the most out of the 7.1. I'm glad to hear you like the TB's I've heard some bad reviews saying they're NOT comfortable after a couple hours of game play. But if you're saying they are even with specs on it makes me think otherwise. Would you say you play 4-5+ hours at a time?

I've done full day gaming marathons, and multiple days of gaming with my X11's on. Both on Xbox & PC. Those oldies are pretty light though, being wired. The wireless styles will have more weight, so perhaps they put more pressure on the top of ones noggin. My ears feel no pressure whatsoever with that design, and I have trouble finding normal headphones I can comfortably wear. That's why I'm aiming to stay within the same style. It's all personal preference, and how a style fits an individual too. I've got a full surround sound system, but in the evenings or while playing multi, the TB's are my best friend. And having the control over game & chat volume is blissful lol Maybe buy a set from a retailer with a really good return policy, and give them a test run. EB has the best price in Canada for the PX51's, but a crap return policy. I may grab a set from Best Buy, test them out with my consoles, and return them after a week. But I'm sneaky like that :)
