I like the option of being able to change up my controller configuration a lot. So when I was playing the Beta, and feeling out what class and weapons I preferred along with what felt the most natural in battle, it got me thinking. If I could have control over how my character moves and acts couldn't I have some control over how she/he sees as well? Even if it were just the choice between a few presets like the controller configuration is set up it would be very cool. For me suspension of disbelief is a big part of me getting into my character as I play through the PvE part of the game. Having some control of my character's HUD would play a big part in that. So if you think this is a good idea and have some suggestions I'd love to hear them. Salut!

Overall, I'm more about functionality than aesthetics though and during game play I'm fed the information I need in MOSTLY an unobstructed manner. I feel like some of the information could be condensed, like shields / life bars could be shortened and given pips, not one solid bar that stretches on for ages. Soft borders would also be more appealing to the eye. These are all minor quips, but it would be nice to see the HUD evolve when Bungie has time to refine it.

I love the minimalist hud. It's clean and to the point. Less is more for me. I want to see the battlefield not have the screen cluttered with constant words or numbers popping up or my teammates health bars. I'm happy with how it is but options are always welcomed so sure why not have a choice to change it to something else as long as it's a choice.

I'd like an ability to modify, sure. There are times when I feel like I want all information displayed, other times I just want to see the majestic sunset. I don't see the harm in allowing HUD modification.
