Who misses the good ole days of gaming? When you could get on Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 and enjoy a good non competitive game with all your friends and just sit back and relax without getting in a game where you team is continuously screaming in your ear about the way you play. I'll give two examples of each
Halo 3: The good ole days when you would get on XBL and get an immediate invite to a large custom games and play zombies on the best custom maps?
Other example: The good ole days when you could get on Halo 3 and play matchmaking and when the game is over you could get a message saying GG from your opponents even though it doesn't mean much.
Gears of War 2: Remember those good ole days when you could get on XBL and start Gears of War 2 and join a game of Annex on a private Bloodrive with all your friends and just test your skills and have fun?
Other example: You could join a matchmaking game of annex and people would play in a honorable manner, if anyone remembers Shotgun battles. Say there's a showdown and you and someone else are the last two, and to determine a winner both of you agree to engage in a shotgun battle to settle things fairly.
How many of you miss the Good Ole Days of Gaming?

3 通の返信Back then Nintendo was the king and those were the good days. Now its all about fanboy whinning wars, exclusive deals with one specific company and screw over a whole fanbase, Resolution comparisons that no one cared about until some news site made it an issue, empty promises etc.

SaferMurderweaponにより編集済み: 8/7/2014 4:41:37 AMUsed to be about fun and when you wanted to get competitive there was gamebattles and mlg-pro circuits for when you really wanted to get serious or you could just invite someone into custom games. Now it's all about who has the best k/d or how many montage clips I can get in matchmaking so I can show the world how good i am or just to make money off youtube. Good bye paradise, hello internet cesspool.

My good old daming days were more like: Hauling the (heavy) PC tower, the (also heavy) 17"CRT and other stuff into my car and then drive to a friend, where we would meet with something between 8-12 guys and then is was heavy LAN-action with Quake 1-3 NFS, Duke3D, Diablo and other great games. Only interrupted by BBQ, beer and deep, meaningfull talks about the current state of the universe.... *sigh* now I'm a bit depressed....

ASoapyboxlolzにより編集済み: 8/7/2014 9:18:28 AMNo. I don't miss it, there were great games and yes I do feel nostalgia but now this generation is great, much better than the last. Creativity is coming back to the industry pre 2009-2010 is coming back and many games are now focusing on actually pleasing customers and satisfying them, making great games. Effort. This is likely because developers realize people find COD less original and copying them just brings backlash + COD is decreasing in popularity rapidly (still really popular though). Games are becoming competitive. I really do miss Halo 3, some older games and Halo CE. I also miss MW2, in my opinion that was the last good COD which actually was fun and expanded on the franchise. We need another MW2 for COD.
