Recently turned 50 and my doctors were strongly recommending that I have one performed.
It's a medical procedure where a long probe with a camera on the tip in inserted and your large intestine is examined from end to end. Photos are taken, if something odd is spotted a biopsy is taken, and you get to watch the whole procedure on a monitor.
Certainly not the most dignified or romantic thing imaginable, but it was educational and an interesting experience. The pics are kinda boring (who cares what a polyp looks like?) but many of us (sooner or later) will have one performed.

2 通の返信I've had this done in me... Not fun. Before the actual procedure they make you get out all of the poo stuff in your system so that they can see clearly... You consume nothing but liquids for 2 days or so before the procedure, and they have me this powder to consume once or twice a day that made me poop. A lot. And it was the kind of poop that you don't talk about in public. It was constant. I spent probably 6-7 hours on the toilet in one day.... After the procedure, it turns out that there was nothing wrong after all, so it was all kinda pointless.... Oh, btw, I was 11. :)

1 返信DX my mother had to take one after her, uhm, down there was infected and were she not to go to the hospital sooner, she would've died having the infection in her bloodstream. Did you have to take any awful fluids?
