I don't think it's op...it's just the most flexible. For instance, the gg has the potential to kill 3 players 1 at a time. The nova bomb kills all that it hits and stays to do AOE damage. The Titans destroys all in its range almost instantly.

Not that I agree that the GG is OP but there's is actually more potential than that for the golden gun because you can upgrade it to over-penetrate (eww that sounds dirty) and hit multiple enemies. So, the potential is much higher in that a single shot could hit as many enemies as were standing in a line at the correct angle in front of the shooter. Technically one shot with the GG could kill a whole team, although that's highly unlikely. If enemies are standing near each other it is much more likely for a single shot to kill more than one enemy.
