I need more details but if it's 5 days early access not some times few hour trial I'm in for at least 1 month. It's only $2.50 a month for the year. (Games I will buy this year: NHL. Madden, BF:H(2015?), FIFA 15. Wonder how this affects battlefront.

2 通の返信I've come to the conclusion that while it looks enticing, I need to stay committed to not giving EA any money.

I don't see much of a reason to. It seems the games they're pushing are mainly just sports games, which I have no interest in, as well as games that have already been out for a bit. I'd rather just continue picking up individual titles rather than having to pay for a service to keep access to the games I want to play. I'll have a wider access of titles for less money than a $60 price, but I feel it'll end up being more expensive in the long run.

2 通の返信Battlefielderにより編集済み: 7/30/2014 2:33:26 PMOriginally, I thought this was a good deal, but I researched it further and my concerns would be the age of the games that would be included in the subscription. For $30 per year, the subscription would be very compelling if you play a number of annualized sports games, as you do. However, if the service entitles you to only previous-season games, then it is definitely not a good deal. Why would you want to play FIFA 14 and Madden 25 when new versions come out? I seriously doubt Star Wars Battlefront will be part of that service until way past its release, unless EA and DICE flub the launch as they did with BF4. EA's license with Disney has a huge upfront fee that they will need to recoup with massive sales of full-priced games.

Well, I could use it for a month or two just for Dragon Age: Inquisition...It would give me enough time to play it and would be incredibly cheaper. Once it has more options, I can see it being a great deal for a lot of people. I'm just a little sad that they announced this right after I bought BF4 for $60 when I could have waited just a bit and tried it for $5.

1 返信Phantom Preyにより編集済み: 7/30/2014 9:14:28 PMPS: Sony is charging up to $5 for a four-hour rental period and up to $30 for 90 days of access to a game like Final Fantasy XIII-2, a game that sells new for roughly half that price on disc. A game like Guacamelee costs $15 for either a 90-day rental or a full download on PSN. EA: $5 a month or $30 yr and access to the whole game library, you'll get to play trial versions of new EA titles "up to" five days before their official release date, and 10% off on purchases of EA digital content for Xbox One games through the Xbox Games Store Who's the one ripping off now? This will work out well for everyone because Sony will most likely lower their prices.

4 通の返信Absolutely, and I'll tell you why. $5 a month, and you get 10% off of EA titles. A game is $60. With 10% off, it is $54. Add $5 for the subscription and you're paying $59. You are saving one dollar. Plus you get the game five days early with that method, AND you get access to these other games if you don't already have them. In short, I plan on getting a month of it any time I plan on buying an EA game (i.e. Inquisition). Reason? Because it would be pretty stupid not to.

8 通の返信I though it was to play some games for a short period of time for free. But it cost money to subscribe. Go figure.
