Bungie is unsure of whether or not they should bring the progress from the beta into the full game. So take the poll to give them some HONEST feedback on the fans opinion.

2 通の返信Let me give my two cents. I see both sides of the argument. I understand that the beta was a test for the game and it isn't our right to have things progress over, however people put a lot of time into this and have grown attached to their guardians. So I understand why people want to keep that. People have argued that things transferring over creates an unfair advantage for people who didn't participate in the beta but the same thing could be said for people who won't be getting the game at launch. Should Bungie reset everyone's characters every month so people who get the game some point after launch won't be at a disadvantage? No, that would be incredibly silly. However If Bungie wanted to prevent any advantage from the beta, they could have the characters transfer over but have them locked until you get a guardian up to level 8, preventing "unfair" advantage thus making both sides of the argument happy. Regardless of what Bungie does come launch day i will be happy to just play more of this brilliant game.

I don't think we should have everything brought over like the characters and level bcz it would be stupid it would take away from the game and the levelling up oh I can get to 20 quicker bcz I started at level 8 already would be ridiculous but my glimmer, items in the vault and the marks I collected I think should carry over bcz there wouldn't be anything special and most of the stuff you couldn't use at the beginning anyway so it would work out and I dont see the point in taking away the materials and emblems that cost over 2000 glimmer might as well let us keep them. Just think the characters should go that's all.

61 通の返信Everything should carry over, If not I would not have preordered, some people say not to carry over so everyone starts with a clean slate, So when someone new buy it, everyone's game starts over. What logic is that? Everyone had the chance to preorder and play.. Just saying.. If I lose everything then I'll just return the game and play something else.....

The keyword here is Beta. It's a test not a polished release. I put in a ton of time and I have shit I value but whats the point. More stuff will be available to us when the game launches. The content for more than a few missions is gonna be way to easy if we keep our level and gear we farmed. Stop complaining and rejoice that you get to start from scratch and experience the launch for what it is. The full polished launch!

23 通の返信This is such an easy question to answer. The beta progress should transfer over. The people that played the hell out of the beta want their progress to transfer, while the people who "didn't get enough time" want everyone to start fresh. Why should everyone start fresh if some don't want to? Everyone was given enough time to call off work, THEY EVEN GAVE YOU A WEEKLY BREAKDOWN CHART for god sake, it specifically tells you the days it was up and down for maint, now you want everyone to start over cause of your bad time management skills...I say gtfo. It's people like you that make us GUARDIANS angry.

1 返信To be honest, all I care about are the legendaries. I worked hard for then and if they were taken away then that wouldn't make me happy at all.

2 通の返信How many of you have never participated in a beta before? Bungie has already stated nothing will carry over from beta. Everyone starts on an equal footing. This never happens with a Beta folks!

7 通の返信I used to want beta progress to carry over, but now that I think about it I don't. Many people would have an unfair advantage. All those people who just farmed glimmer and leveled up their cryptarch level to get legendary and exotic weapons I'm looking at you. I did the strike mission over and over to grind for better gear and got some good stuff like my level 10 rare shingen-e auto rifle and my level 10 rare shotgun. If it means giving those weapons I grounded for to get rid of the exotics and legendaries people got unfairly (in my opinion of course) then I'm game i don't mind. Besides a fresh start would be nice. Also I don't think cryptarch level should raise when buying stuff from him. That should just give you a chance at better weapons and armor. Cryptarch level should only raise when you bring I identified gear you got from grinding. That's just my opinion though I'm sure others think differently.

1 返信I don't care either way. A fresh start is fine as it wouldn't take much to get back up to speed. And I think its only fair for everyone to be on the same level at the start.

3 通の返信No, it should not carry over. In all gaming, no game let's a level 8 character get level 20 items. Never mind level 20 legendary/exotic/super crap. Never. A level 8 boss mob would give level 12 gear at best( normal or super special gear). That fact alone should tell you that they screwed around with the loot tables for the beta, you know for testing purposes. Everyone under the sun got this high level crap. It is supposed to be hard to get. How special is anything if everyone has it. You won't miss it, you won't be able to use it until level 20 anyway. By level 16-17 you will get this crap again or better. That is supposed to be how you get it. You have to really work for it. Not have it handed to you on a silver platter.
-
Why not? Why would somebody else having level 8 (which in all honesty most people could probably reach in less than 5 hours if we could skip cutscenes) effect the way you play. Sure pvp reasons but only for 5 hours of gameplay. Its not crazy to just catch up and if somebody is ahead of you just dont play with them. Why would this effect the way you play?

7 通の返信
Bungie is unsure of whether or not they should bring the progress from the beta into the full game.
And just where did you get this information? Did you have a meeting with Bungie? Are you on some kind of team with in the company? If you have proof Bungie said they are actually contemplating this then post a link with proof, if not knock this shit off and grow up. Once mommy has dropped the $60-$150 for you to have the actual game you will be able to get all the gear you had in the beta back in no time.

Omg it was a beta..........a B E T A.....it was just a taste of the massive cake that comes on 9/9 be happy u got a taste and no I don't want my stuff to carry over I love the grind to get stuff and plus I saw the beta as a Chance to try the characters and things about equipment so now I know more about everything so come release I will start off strong and have an advantage over people who didn't play the beta but not with items but with info.
-
Yes, because if I want to start over I can just delete the profile. No, because there might be remnants and placeholder items that need to be wiped for the full game to be properly balanced. None of the above, because Bungie will figure this out. They are a world class videogame developement studio. # 1st World Problem.

11 通の返信Wow, did not see this almost being 50/50 for yes and no. I guess you really need to look at the level span, like looking at this level 8 progress from a level 20 perspective. Makes it seem pretty insignificant

Total number if people involved in the beta in the link. If beta progress carried over it wouldnt be a huge advantage. But it's w/e either way. http://m.ign.com/articles/2014/08/04/destiny-infographic-reveals-insane-beta-stats
