Mmm you clearly did no research before posting right? Didn't read the primary post or the continuation post and addendum that addressed this ignorant point of yours? When you go into class and a topic is being discussed, do you make sure to do any research or just blurt things out you have opinions on with no actual knowledge of their truth? When Israel is discussed, do you just point out your opinion based on very little research or do you actually have an informed decision after a few hundred hours of research or even 20 or so hours at a minimum?
For the past 25 years, beta's have been near identical representations of the final product, in all forms of software, without a single exception. Mechanical issues, game-design theorem problems, and embedded designs are all still the exact same. Only placeholders for voice or images are replaced, some bugs fixed (mostly through patches) and a few other things.
So clearly, you're wrong.
Ok, think of every beta you have participated in for the past 25 years (Based on your account creation date, I can assume that you haven't even been alive for that long). I can think of a few. One that stands out, and is relevant to the current discussion, is the Halo Reach beta(Which if you didn't know, is another game developed by Bungie). The beta featured only a handful of game modes compared to the full release. It also added an entire campaign to the full release. Definitely an exact copy of the beta. Destiny still needs a little work. I accept that because bungie released this work in progress to test how it will do out there in the wild. Read the disclaimer on the bottom left of the title screen. WORK IN PROGRESS. Things will be changed. Entire planets will be added to the games pve. It literally show the missing content on the map screen! The moon! Available in the full game. Crucible game modes! Available in the full game. Crucible maps! Available in the full game. HINTED PLAYER HOUSING. Available in the full game. More tower content! Available in the full game. Vastly more loot and level cap! Available I. The full game. I could go on and on, but I think you see my point.
Sorry for the spelling because it's like 8:30 in the morning.
Clearly my account creation date for one of the 6 used to test this tells you absolutely everything right? No, it doesn't. But thank's for trying a terrible troll attempt.
The Halo Reach beta was not in any means similar due to entirely different content, the fact this wasn't a sole multiplayer beta and due to the open world variations versus a very linear world that Reach had.
Of course it added a campaign, it was a MULTIPLAYER beta, not a network test of the entire game, which is needed for these types of always-online games. You're trying to manipulate and skew facts to relate something that is completely different, this is a trolling technique.
Again, beta's have always been the exact same as every beta. You clearly don't do research as indicated in your first post, and so you clearly don't understand this, but if you did some you might learn to understand this.
Entire zones will be UNLOCKED in the game yes, but I never said that was different. Network test beta's are final representations minus the barriers that they indicate (which still use the same mechanics that are embedded in the game, the same mechanics of which I was discussing and which are the primary and critical issues as my review indicated) placeholder voices being replaced and small oddities or graphical fixes, while patches deal with bugs AFTER the game is released.
While housing in a FPS makes absolutely no sense, that is beyond the point.
