I've seen quite a few posts over the past few months that involve guys asking for girl gamers to join them. Are they really that desperate? That they have to go on the forums asking for female gamers to join them? What do you think about these people? And why do you think they do it?(other then desperation..) It seems like a futile effort to me.
And I'm a guy myself.
11 通の返信I met my girlfriend on the first day of highschool. We share so many things in common. She even loves video games and Destiny as much as I do. We started dating 11 days after we met. XD 10 months and 14 days later we're still going strong and haven't had a single fight. C:

10 通の返信I have not played with a girl but I think its so cool that they do. There is no gender in being a gamer, young, old, man, woman. I don't think its wrong to ask them to play. If I was playing and come across a girl, woman player why not ask them to play. Unless you are threaten by the that they maybe better than you. [ metalmario137 this is not directed at you, people in general my thoughts ] At my age 99% are better than me I don't care I just love to play. I tried to get my wife to play but at 64 yrs old she just likes to watch and be my second set of eyes. So I see nothing wrong with asking, hell in a fight they may save my butt.

As a gaymer, I'd much prefer to play with females, however it's not a common phenomenon in an MMO environment. When guys hurl around expletives (or use other words in a slang context when it should not), it gets kind of boring... This is why I'm glad I only tried the audio experience of XBL, only a couple of times, when I played Halo Reach or whichever iteration... However I always found it funny when some player would call you the 3 letter f- expletive, then proceed to tea bag you anyway...

4 通の返信IceWolf777により編集済み: 7/13/2014 5:42:18 PMWell, the way you phrased it makes it seem as a desperate attempt but they could be doing that for a few options- ♡they probably want to "hookup" with a gamer girl....seeing how gamer girls are becoming a more popular choice of dating ☆they're probably more comfortable playing with girls more than guys or just doesn't want to be involved in a "sausage fest" ☆they're probably curious on how many gamer girls will be playing destiny or are on overall

10 通の返信Mysticalにより編集済み: 7/13/2014 5:28:00 AMdon't read this unless you want a good rant/analysis ... otherwise you might feel bad after reading it, I can be quite candid about things lol --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The fact 90% of the guys in this thread refers to females as 'girl gamers' just shows they are looking for a trophy more than a person to play with. They may not think this or realize it yet but that is basically what it boils down to when they scream "girl gamers come to me, I neeed yoooouuu!" All it reads to me is "I need a pretty voice and face to hang with me because I deserve it and any female would be grateful to be at my feet and follow me in whatever game I play". I find it rather annoying and shallow how most of them contain females in a little box who like gaming in real AAA title games as nothing more than merely a side package ... hello! they are playing the games for the exact same reason you are: to have fun, level up, epic journey's, and so on and so forth. Instead of phishing around for a female to wear like a medal around your neck why not just play the damn game with the friends you have? If your friends are that damn annoying or not the type of vibe you want then find new ones! It's xbox frick'n live. You don't need a specific gender to be with you to get your most optimal social gaming experience in my opinion. I don't play with people I find annoying and you shouldn't either. It's not hard to do: "sorry man, I'm not really enjoying playing with you, gunna leave this party chat and go somewhere else". My male and female friends stick to ourselves and we are all comfortable playing with each-other because we are the type of people we like to game with. I didn't go out of my way to fish around for males or female gamers, we all came together through a like minded channel ... in this case a tv show forum which had an xbox live thread and thus began our friendships and continued playing on xbox live for years now well after that tv series died. Just randomly asking on a forum for a specific type of gamer won't really work, especially since those asking are doing it for all the wrong reasons and there are so many asking. It's like 10 people all asking to buy the last car in the lot ... only one will get it. Sure I get it, you may find females more calm, easy going, and soothing but that is like saying that all guys who play games are hooligans, loud, obnoxious, and can't have a different mindset with the games they play which is completely false. I would argue finding a genuine 'gamer guy' is just as hard. A guy who knows how to play competitive but also have fun with anyone and doesn't act like a 10 year old being immature beyond all reason. They know when to take a game seriously but also not go all tryhard on their own friends when the match isn't going well. Someone who you can have a decent conversation with that won't go all stereotypical on you or start stupid fights with other players because they have 'something to prove'. I can barely play with most guys because they act this way. The argument that female gamers are rarer so it's harder to find any genuine players is silly. Females aren't all genuine just like guys and there are guys who are genuine gamers too (sometimes more than females) but they are rare just like females who play big title games. sorry for that rant but I really hate the label 'girl gaymerz' . It's so misguided and usually done by players that have the wrong ideas. Instead of looking for just females they should be broadening their focus looking for gamers who enjoy gaming the same way they do and have the same mindset. If you do this you'll find a plethora of both male and female gamers who are going to be there to play with YOU because they truly like your gaming style and not just there to 'hook' up. tl;dr - girls can be just as 'thirsty' as guys for all the wrong reasons. Find gamers you like, not gamers with labels.

1 返信faunidaeにより編集済み: 7/13/2014 6:10:07 PMI'm lucky enough to have never been harassed by guys when gaming. The ones I've met so far have been pretty nice or just left me alone. Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.

Riley the Hunterにより編集済み: 7/13/2014 5:47:21 PMI play w/ guy and girl gamers. I just like to have fun playing games with my friends, male or female! I have a lot of people that I play with, and at least 25% of them are girls! Also, I'm a guy.

Well the are a few different things that could be going on with these guys: - Could just want the chance to talk to a girl - Could enjoy playing games with girls and guys - Wants to have the stereotypical lone girl on the team

I haven'f done it myself, as I already know quite a few "girl gamers" personally, so I wouldn't need any new ones from the forums. I can understand why people would look for them, as they usually seem pretty fun to play with, and don't always have as foul of mouths.

I ran into a few women on GTA online a few days ago, and sent them friend requests. Not because I'm some sad little manchild who can only get attention online, but because we kicked ass in GTA. Blokes get the same treatment.

Well i met my girlfriend in a online match lol allmost 4 year together now.. But that was just pure luck that whe met each other. I allso dont understand why thej look especially after girl gamers.. Think desperately and maybe too shy in real life :) i dont now lol

No idea, never much cared about it myself. On the Xbox especially I view all my enemies as genderless (even some of my allies) So if you are Male or Female I'll be showing you the same courtesy if you are my enemy, Precise Bullet Holes in the frontal portion of your cranium. If you are my ally, you will get a solid and good team mate out of me and that is all I ask in return. Not your gender, number, home address (So I can mail a bomb to you if you fail me, YOU HAVE FAILED ME FOR THE LAST TIME YOUNG *Insert Name Here*) or any other magic stuff.
