I was wondering the general preference of the community when it comes to a primary slot choice in Destiny. I know the full game or Beta is not available yet but most of you have either played the Alpha or watched gameplay footage. During the Alpha I enjoyed the scout rifle the most but I also really enjoyed the hand cannon. Please vote and feel free to leave a comment with your choice and why.
Thank you!

1 返信My biggest problem is.... I don't like any of the guns so far.... Auto rifle is easy but doesn't do much damage. Pulse Rifle, bursts are my favourite. Not powerfull enough. Scout Rifle, single shot is hard for me, but strong. Hand Cannon, love it, single shot.... I don't know what to do.....

1 返信Can't decide between a Hand Cannon or a Scout Rifle. I loved the Revolvers in Battlefield 3, especially the REX. To people who have played the Alpha, do Hand Cannons in Destiny behave similarly to Revolvers in BF3?

2 通の返信The scout rifle can wreck in pvp if you know how to use it. It also negates the need for the sniper rifle and will free up your secondary choice to either the fusion or shotgun. This is just my preference though. The auto rifles are equally as good and a little more forgiving if you don't have the best aim. I hated the pulse rifle and felt that the hand cannon was just a very weak scout rifle with less ammo.

3 通の返信The Scout Rifles are amazing. It's a close tie between them and the Hand Cannons--I just prefer to have the range the rifles offer, then compliment that with a Fusion Rifle or Shotgun. That being said, a Hand Cannon and a Sniper Rifle are equally ass-kicking.

1 返信I guess I'll be in the minority with a hand cannon. Oh well guess I'll be pretty original with my load out then.

5 通の返信Scout rifle all the way. Auto rifle takes too long to kill in my opinion, and i did play the alpha. From the maps we've seen its all close and mid-range battle, seemingly no long range. Which isn't a bad thing. So if you as gamer thinks that the auto rifle will beat my shotgun or fusion at close range or my auto rifle at mid-range your insane. Destiny PVP was based on accuracy not sheer force. GO

11 通の返信I can't wait to see what awesome loadouts people come up with, with all of the different options there are.

2 通の返信For Explore mode probably a hand cannon For strikes and raids it depends on what role I am playing, DPS, tank, support. And for PvP depends on the map but probably something with mid range and hurls a lot of bullets

6 通の返信The Auto Rilfe all the way, fully automatic has always been my preference, I usually use AR in most FPS games I play...

4 通の返信Scout rifle and light machine gun. Can't wait to get my hands on the Thunderlord.

9 通の返信I liked the pulse rifles in the alpha, more consistent at range for me. Played Hunter and found the auto rifle was better for PvP.

2 通の返信Could someone tell me why I should use a hand cannon? They seem completely worthless to me; why wouldn't I use a scout rifle? What am I missing?

28 通の返信I'm sorry, but I don't see Fist on your list. What good of a Titan am I if I can beat someone's skull in with my bare hands?

2 通の返信I haven't played the game yet, but in most games, I prefer burst fire weapons, as it is easy to use at any range, and you can conserve ammo. Red Death seems like the perfect weapon for me, high impact with a slower fire rate, but also a heal and reload speed buff.

7 通の返信I really really really wanted to use a hand cannon but with its low damage stats and slow reload time im (unfourtunatly) leaning more towards an auto rifle with a high rof

9 通の返信Haven't played yet but from the footage haven't seen anyone doing good with anything other than an autorifle. Being an above average Halo player my intuition is scout or pulse, but damn... literally saw no one good with those. My fear is that it will be too easy to miss shots or too hard to land headshots. So I am not sure. In Halo almost all my kills are headshots. It's hard to not see that as prominant in Destiny, it's especially hard not seeing much hipfire success either, which is a staple of Halo. I know Destiny isn't Halo, but it might take some getting use to.
