Poor Deej. He works so hard for us -- for all of us, here at bungie.net. And then we (The Flood) have to go and be the problem child and take a fat shit on his lawn just after he fixes it up.
I still love you, Deej. I think you're doing a great job as our community manager <3
Edit: Let me pose a question. What has gotten you all to hate Deej so much? Any particular reason? Or are you just hating him because everybody else does?

People dislike him because he isn't very genuine. Whether this is a requirement of his job or simply his own choice for approaching it, it's the way things are. It makes some sense though; it's easy to find many recent examples of people being fired after expressing unpopular opinions when communicating with their company's communities. He was hounded in Mythic Members long before it became a flood meme, mainly for the same reasons. He came to Mythic Members asking for suggestions after B.next launched, and that request for information was one of the last posts he ever made in that group. Whether that event informed his decision to be impersonal moving forward is up for debate.
Let me pose a question. What has gotten you all to hate Deej so much? Any particular reason? At which point I'm going to remind everyone about how a large portion of the community treated Charlie like shit on a consistent basis getting him to leave multiple times before the incident, and now we celebrate him as a martyr. So, oh no, DeeJ didn't do any coddling. But it's alright for us to be unpleasant and target users the way we have in the past. I can only see it as forum drama. Unless he actually murders a member from here, I have no reason to waste any energy on stressing out over the guy. Obviously other people feel different, but meh. In the end, this is typical forum community structure.
