Did anyone else feel like the majority of deaths were from shot guns. Seriously, watch the streams and its mostly shot guns being used.

Well in a control gametype there's a lot of people fighting for control of those flags up close and so the Shotgun sorta becomes the dominant weapon to use at that range... plus a lot of people didn't have the reflexes to deal with someone sprinting up to their face with a shotty.

3 通の返信If you let people get close enough to one shot you with shotguns that is on you, they aren't op. the vehicles are strong because they're supposed to be. Get in your own and shut theirs down. It only takes one sniper headshot to shut down the guy driving the interceptor. Position wisely and nothing is op.

6 通の返信That's cause both maps were objective based and close quarters. It's the ideal thing to do. In a different game mode like slayer where two teams are more spaced out on a symmetrical map, you will most likely see scour rifles being the primary weapon used.

Just make sure to not rush blindly around a corner, way too short range to be considered op. That being said, when I was running through short hallways and encroaching upon multi corner areas, bet your ass I had mine out.
-
1 返信That's because the 2 available maps were both cqc. Get on a map with some distance and shottys become useless. They only look OP because they can be a one-shot-kill, however you need to be "berrel in mouth" distance for that.

HighKingJTにより編集済み: 6/22/2014 5:36:38 PMi took a shotty death or two but i was at point blank range and the barrel was in my face or back of the head but that did not make the pvp "bad" by any means. but a sniper headshot was a one hitter quitter and 2 to the body for a kill. also powerful.

lol PvP was epic, you or the person you where watching must of been shit because I did not die from shotguns that much at all. You do know about the indicator at the top which lets you know about enemies? Pro tip, use it to let you know when people are near you or shoot them first

2 通の返信Alpha PVP was awesome! No offense but maybe you lacked some skill? If you know what you're doing and used your radar you had no problems with shotgun users most of the time

Celer Umbraにより編集済み: 6/22/2014 5:20:12 PMI did see a lot of shotguns used which I didn't have a problem with so much, but if an enemy was shotgun happy I would either drop them with a scout at range or use my Hunter's agility to my advantage and melee the piss out of them. I did have a problem with however is the interceptor and pike on the moon. There are turrets around the map sure but if you are on foot against someone in a vehicle and you don't have a super you are most likely screwed.
-
Shotguns are only good if you're getting close to people. Double jump and they're already out of shotgun range. I didn't see much of it at all though maybe because the game was having me play moon maps way more than the other smaller map. But even on the smaller map, I did a lot of killing and I never used the shotgun. I used my Thunder Fists of pain!

2 通の返信CoD players man. I got really frustrated with people using shotguns and I actually made a form post about it. So basically I learned tactics I stepped away whenever I see some of the shotguns and they actually did really bad using an assault rifle, so I was learning that obviously people who play this game or were playing it had no clue what they were doing. The horrible the sorrowful call of duty players going to close and personal because they can't handle a game with recoil. (only some I know there is a lot of you guys who are really good :) )

I have to disagree with you, as I felt that the PvP was balanced. Also, the people on twitch who I had watched play before I got into the alpha sucked at the game most of the time. When I watched I thought I would never be good at it because these guys weren't, but when I played it was way easier than they made it look. To address the point about the shotguns they are strong in close quarters which the fact it was a control type game and maps that encourage it made it very strong but they could be handled by constant movement and backpedaling.
