Things you didn't know about Destiny

So this post just features a few things that people may not know about Destiny, however people who follow the game as closely as I do probably know all of this. Don't ask me where I get all this info because I can't keep track. 1. Sparrow/Shrike racing is going to be a thing in Destiny (like an actual game or mini game). 2. The Traveler appeared a few years from now (so like 2017 - 2020 as examples) and is what sparked humanity's golden age. However, the Traveler appeared because it was trying to escape the darkness. Unknown to the Traveler, the darkness followed it over the course of the next millennia and wiped out most of humanity starting the collapse and creating the current world that is Destiny. 3. Each of the 3 classes of guardian had something to do with humanity's survival during the collapse: The Titans constructed the wall that defends the city while still defending it from attacks making them the toughest guardians. The Warlocks deciphered the traveler's secrets and gave birth to humanity's golden age (and space magic) making them technically the oldest class of guardian. The hunters ventured out beyond the walls and provided for humanity during the construction of the city making them the reason the city is able to thrive in the current time period. 4. Some weapon categories were changed around: hand cannons are now in the primary weapon slot, snipers were moved to the special/secondary weapon slot, and a new class of weapon called railguns were added to the heavy weapon slot. 5. Guns can be "cannibalized." What this means is that gun parts may be able to be taken off of some guns and added to others. 6. Some items/weapons/armor are collected in Engram Crystals. Some of these may be locked and must be taken back to the city and unlocked before the items can be used. 7. The Golden Gun super thermally charges your next 3 shots that can be fired at will over a short time period and does not need to be used with a hand cannon. 8. Raids are an extremely difficult mode for 6 players and can take an average of 4 hours to complete. 9. You can run into Public sessions in Destiny not just in strikes but also when roaming around the open world. 10. Loot generates randomly meaning that you can do the same strike multiple times and get different rewards each time. 11. It has been said that if you take every gun from Halo, square it, and then square it again, that is how many guns are in Destiny. When Destiny Updates did the math he came up with over 1,000,000 guns. However when I did the math (I only used guns going up to Halo Reach because that was the last Bungie title) I came up with over 500,000 guns. 12. Your ship is not purely cosmetic. Your ship decides how far you can travel between worlds. If you want to go to Mars you will need stronger engines than the ones that you used to get to the moon. This info is old and may have been changed. 13. There are different types of ammo in Destiny. For example you can have shocker, explosive, or acid rounds all for the same gun (these are not actual ammo types these are just examples). 14. Most aliens take more damage from head shots, however the Vex take extra damage from shots to the chest/guts area (where their power cores are located). 15. The Cabal bleed oil when shot. Kill them with fire! 16. You can have only one exotic piece of armor and one exotic weapon equipped at any time. 17. There is speculation that there are multiple towers and not just one. One tower for each Faction. (again this is just speculation and may not be true) 18. Guardians have 4 abilities. There is a movement, melee, grenade, and super ability. You fill the super meter by getting kills. 19. All armor pieces, weapons, and focuses have perk trees that can be upgraded/unlocked over time by using the item. 20. When you are roaming around the world or are doing a strike you may encounter an optional random event. Random events can give you special rewards for completing them like exclusive guns and armor that cannot be acquired through regular game types. 21. All players get rewards for killing enemies making trolling difficult during strikes and raids. This means that unlike a regular MMOs or RPGs where the player that picks up the item or kills the boss is the only one that gets a reward, all of the players in the game at that time will get items of equal value. 22. Any class can use any weapon type. 23. YOU CANNOT PILOT YOUR SHIP MANUALLY. 24. Destiny uses a new system that only renders what your character sees in the game so things that are behind or to the sides of you and objects behind structures are not their until you look at them. This means the game is able to show more while working less. 25. You can get items (weapons and armor) in PvP games and not just in strikes and raids. In fact some items can only be acquired in PvP sessions. 26. Destiny will require an internet connection to play similar to Titanfall. 27. Your b .net account is what you use to sign in to Destiny. This feature allows people to transfer data from an old-gen console to a current/next-gen version but Bungie has stated that you can't do cross-platform saves. Damn you Sony and Microsoft! Can't we all just get along? 28. Cat ears have been seen in Destiny. Or at least things that people are saying look like cat ears. 29. PS3/4 players get access to exclusive content not just timed exclusives (not trying to be a fan boy, any info is still info). 30. Old gen character profiles can be transferred to next gen but the consoles have to be the same (Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PS3 to PS4). If you have any questions or have information that I forgot or that is incorrect then leave a comment.
