I'm considering pitching in to get my brother an xbone for his birthday. Now, I've played the xbone before, but not titanfall. My brother is a bit younger so I figured he would want an xbone rather than a ps4. My brother is pretty picky when it comes to his games, so I need some honest opinions: is titanfall a good game for him? He likes shooters and that's about it.
The reason I ask for HONEST OPINIONS is because everyone I've ever talked with that has an xbone has blindly praised it with heaps of fanboyism. What do you guys think? Xbone with titanfall or ps4 (considering the mind of your average 12 year old)
Also, I should add that I'm trying to surprise him because he has no idea he's getting a xbone (I normally don't get him presents this big and my parents already got him expensive shit)

MR E0Sにより編集済み: 4/26/2014 5:00:03 PMTitanfall is fun. But.... It's starting to devolve into a game where everyone in the community is getting extremely lazy. IE. About half the people I play against are all migrating to using Smart Pistols and Satchel Charges. Also... Realize that the Xboner sucks in every possible way. If you're going to end up paying the price they are asking for the Xboner, you're best just spending just a little more to get a low-end PC for around $750 and playing Titanfall on that instead. Differences between PC vs Xbox Smoother experience Wider Field of View More input options (Can choose between Mouse or Controller) The 360 controller is actually a superior product to the Xboner controller in every way. So with that being said. If you're real intention is to just get him Titanfall. Just get it for the 360 if he owns that already. Do not bother buying the Xboner. You want to know how much I think the Xboner sucks? I own one. I bought it so I could play Titanfall with my friends/family who also own Titanfall on the XB1. I went back to playing Titanfall by myself on PC instead. I usually put more preference on playing with them instead of playing alone.... The XB1 is just that bad compared to what else is possible.

Both are good, I rate Titanfall an 8.5/10 game and the One an 8/10 console, which is just fine by me. Just be warned that you can't play Titanfall Co-Op style. (I own both the One and Titanfall, but I also game on PC, so if you're looking for a well rounded opinion, I'm your man)

Titanfall is currently one of the best nextgen games out atm. A very good purchase alongside the xbox one. Its not hard to get into the campaign remains to be very easy i actually stopped playing its campaign (i genuinely like it every now and then) so others could have their fun (kinda felt like an ass after going 15+ K/D for an entire campaign session) Its multiplayer is a different story though. It has undergone a matchmaking update to match people better. I now get more skilled players often so its hard for me to sit back and relax like campaign. Your brother may not have this same experience but even then the option to kill AI to contribute and get in a titan should compensate for any low self esteems in gaming. My little brother is 13 and he does alright.
