I agree with this post! But I've never played a bungie game in its entirety so I can't comment on this Marty's talents, however when the final fantasy series switched it's composer I thought "oh no this is not good". Then I played the games and noticed the music was definitely not as good, but I still had I had a blast playing them all the same! So everyone needs to take a breath and calm down! The game will be good even if the soundtrack is slightly less powerful!

Hmm well I guess the problem (for me at least) comes more from the reason why they fired him. Lead writer, Staten, left to pursue new projects but, it seems Marty was fired. I guess the people questioning why Marty was fired is more of because those people are fans of Bungie compared to fans of Destiny. The Bungie community knows the devs to be closely knit, but out of nowhere a decade old employee who, alongside Salvatore, made the Halo music that has very positive reception. Destiny's music was probably done and if not, they still have Paul Mccartney and Michael Salvatore to finish it. It's just disheartening to hear a major person in Bungie was, as it seems, fired.
