I want to upgrade my laptops RAM to 16 GB. I want RAM that performs well, because I need to run engineering programs like solidworks, physics programs, programming software, etc. I already have a decent GPU and processor, but I want to go balls deep. So what RAM should I get?

1 返信No one manufacturer makes the 'best' RAM, although there are really good RAM manufacturers. Corsair G. Skill Crucial A-Data Kingston Mushkin PNY Patriot Those are the only RAM manufacturers that I would buy from. I'm currently using 16GB of G. Skill Ares RAM (clocked at 1866MHz) in my PC right now.

RAM is basically all the same It can be separated into two groups You can get overclocked RAM which will cost more and be more demanding on your battery but it will give you raw power You can also get DDR3L Now the L is important It's basically the same as normal DDR3 but it's a bit more expensive but it runs cooler and draws less energy from your battery Overclocked ram and DDR3L are basically opposites of each other so you can choose Overclocked = performance and power DDR3L = temperature and battery

But damn, 16 GB's of laptop RAM looks like it's going to cost you.

5 通の返信16 GB RAM on a laptop? I hope you have a powerful graphic's card on the side, otherwise you won't be able to utilize much out of it.
