I'm most curious as to how they could faithfully fit a story into a 2-hour window that be relevant to the main plot and make sense to a larger audience.
If they tried something original it would have to take place either before the fall of reach or after the main series, but for the former it would risk coming off as just another alien invasion flick and for the latter the amount of backstory involved would just be confusing to the moviegoing audience. The safest bet would be an adaptation of the Fall of Reach, but that's a lot to fit into a movie's runtime.

Quantumにより編集済み: 1/12/2014 6:52:35 AMI'm guessing it would be 140 minutes. If it is based on CE's story directly: 20 minutes: opening and origin story. 10 minutes: PoA 10 minutes: Halo 10 minutes: TaR 10 minutes: Silent Cartographer (Possible fuse with TaR) 20 minutes: AoTcR 20 minutes: 343GS Library cut down significantly to 1 minute/2 minutes 10 minutes: Two Betrayals (cut down) 10 minutes: Keyes 20 minutes: Maw and finale

Godにより編集済み: 1/12/2014 7:15:50 AMIf they went with the CE timeline I'd rather they draw from the the Halo: The Flood novel and focus on what Keyes and the other crewmembers were doing while chief was silently running around blowing things up, with just a few cameos from the chief. It would provide a lot more room for character development and also fit with Ridley's liking for killing all the characters off.

True. Not all of it has to be action scenes, though. It could be done in such a way that the characters develop through the intermission points in each mission. Either way I don't expect the 10 CE mission thing to work, this was just a test to see if they could do it in a set amount of time. I'd imagine that they'd cut levels like the Library.
