Teen Girl Killed By Father Sneaking Back Into Her Home
This is what you call a dumb girl and ill-prepared parent. Am I going to be a moron and blame the object in the father's hands? No, I'm going to blame the girl for doing something so stupid in the first place and a father that wouldn't know his own daughter snuck out of the house.

2 通の返信People really should have to take gun handling courses before buying a weapon. Simply keeping his finger off the trigger until he confirmed that whoever was in his house was an intruder could have changed the outcome. I'm blaming him in this case for improper weapon handling.

There are other ways to defuse the situation than losing your cool and firing blindly. Yet another example of the retarded gun laws that allow untrained individuals to obtain firearms and do stupid shit like this.

13 通の返信Anyone blaming the girl is retarded. Kids sneak out. It happens. In any case, she could have just went outside for whatever reason then came back in. It's not like she'd be on some strict curfew during Christmas Break. The stepfather shouldn't have answered the slightest suspicion of a robbery with gunfire.

If this was any other Western country (few exceptions) the father would likely lack the available means to suddenly and quickly end the girl's life. Guns increase the lethality of encounters a thousand fold. It is much harder to accidentally beat someone to death.

21 通の返信Uhm, It's the Stepfathers fault. He thought it was okay to just shoot at someone without even checking to see what he was shooting at, or if they even had a weapon to begin with. Now he's going to have to deal with the fact that he's a murderer. Here in New York, what he did is illegal as hell. You are only allowed to shoot a home invader if they have a weapon, and you are not allowed to shoot them in the back (assuming they are just trying to run away).
