They say a woman has the right to do what she wants with her own body when it comes to abortion. So surely all of them should be for the legalisation of all drugs? If a woman wants to do cannabis or cocaine, it's her body, her choice.

1 返信But the thing is, "hard drugs" like cocaine/crack are inherently addictive and extremely unhealthy, and could easily cause people to go off their rockers and commit more crimes, not to mention extreme social and familial consequences. But weed, even though it's a gateway drug, is not really "bad"- it doesn't cause extreme mental degradation or physical degradation. It's not as addictive as tobacco either. Honestly, I don't care as long as there aren't people all over the place taking and giving drugs. Imagine how -blam!-ed teenagers and kids would be, being able to just go buy heroin and crack from the corner store. There's a reason these things are illegal.

1 返信Yes, I am actually. Increased revenue from taxes, and we get to weed out the social rejects. Everyone wins.

3 通の返信I've done cocaine, ketamine, ecstasy and of course weed and I'm not pro-drug. Stay away from that shit, it's bad. And it should all stay illegal.

>Conservatives make stupid posts >Doesn't help their lobbying at all, actually counterproductive >Continue to think they're making progress The solution to unwanted babies is not abortion, not adoption, but contraception. Strengthen schools, teach sex-ed, literally have employees receive condoms in the mail, and it won't be such a huge problem for either side.

If they're to be legalised they should be regulated. In the UK and Ireland (not sure about elsewhere) smoking cigarettes in public areas (workplaces, bars, etc) is illegal due to how it harms others. If someone wants to do a bunch of heroin, there should be some kind of strict regulations on how people can do that. I don't know how it would work, but those are my thoughts.

1 返信There is more to illegal drugs than just harm to self. Though the main reason they are illegal is that they do more harm than good, significantly more harm. Things that hurt people need to regulated. Just like we need a system to legally purchase guns, the reason abortion clinics need to meet certain specifications to be able to abort, and we require all driver to legally obtain a license. Drugs like Heroin and PCP are illegal because when you are tweaking on them you don't always rationally control yourself(read that shit -blam!-s you up) and you can harm others. It's not only a matter of what's best for you, it's also a matter of not wanting people jacked out of their mind running in the streets. That's why your argument is flawed. It's detrimental to society as a whole, not only to the individual.

1 返信Anyone who respects individual liberties should be pro legalization. Pro legalization doesn't mean pro drug, just as pro choice doesn't mean pro abortion.
