I can't decide what i hate more...
Like the majority of people that make up this epic community, I've played/owned all the halo's, marathon and ONI...
I've had an xbox since the Big Black Brick. Never been a fan of the Playstation, the controllers are not to my liking, i think they are too small.
Having said that, I'm getting a PS4, specifically for Destiny. I couldn't care less who gets more exclusives or bonus content. It seems beneficial to get it for the PS4.
Now to the point of the topic.
I have always been an xbox gamer through and through, but the Xbox community which i have happily been a part of for the past decade, just seems to be a colossal group of whinging, spoiled, entitled brats.
If you buy Destiny for XBOX.. Awesome, if you buy it for PS4, awesome..
There is literally no difference... OOOOh a couple of guns, Earlier access..
Like it's never happened in any other game released for both consoles. You were all happy enough to play HALO. You know what playstation gamers did when they wanted to play halo? Bought an Xbox.
The only thing i can possibly think of that is as annoying as the whinging about console preference is; "PC RELEASE!", "Will this be on PC?", PC, PC, PC.
If it's coming out on PC, Bungie will tell you...
You are the metaphorical equivalent of that one kid in school who thinks it's smart to say "Are we there yet" on every school trip.
Same rule applies to you all. If it doesn't come out for PC, Buy a console. If you want to play it that badly... just buy a console... By the time Destiny is out, 360's and PS3's will be about £60. The same price you'd pay for a decent PC Gaming Peripheral...
Why is everyone whinging about what Destiny doesn't have, or things Bungie haven't done?
The whole point of a community is to focus on what we do have, what Bungie are doing for us...

1 返信The Xbox did switch the DRM so that the always online is gone,region based is gone, all that crap is gone so the Xbox is compatible with competing with the ps4 (not trying to cause a huge fight just in case some of you didn't know idk I'm just an Xbox fan that doesn't want a good system like an Xbox to be over looked

You have chosen wisely to get a ps4 I think. Like yourself, I have been playing Xbox for over 10 years now and switched to PlayStation after I saw the presentation of the Xbox One, I sold my Xbox right that week and got a ps3 instead. I really felt pissed on as a gamer by the presentation of that horrid looking " multimedia machine ". On top of that, the ps4 and the dualshock 4 are just reviewed better than the Xbox One, although I think the lineup games are the worst I ever saw on a release, since there are so few. But man am I anxious to play this game....

4 通の返信To be honest here "everyone" is just following the lead of sony/microsoft/bungie/activision. If it was up to "everyone" I am sure we would have open/joined playlists ... at least with both console able to have games compete within the one list - and hell, if developers did a half decent job on the PC platform and either fixed or picked up on hack - then why not have them in the mix. Imagine all of the laggy playlists that could now have a 3 fold increase in numbers - and as a result better game play. But "everyone" does not have a vested interest ... it is the console makers and game studios. Once a title online play dies you buy a new game ... get it to die sooner by keeping playlists separate means you move sooner, buy more games and make studios more money. Look at bungie now ... a new title every year (full and alternate Comet)?? And with bungie ... why fuel the console war ?? Why not simply state how much short the xbox beta will be ... guessing we are talking days, so no big deal. But rather than just put an end to it all ... why let it continue other than to fuel the hype, excitement and conversation. Sorry OP ... its not "everyone" - it is those that have money in mind.

2 通の返信ok first i would like to say i agree with you. second not everyone can afford a console,2 consoles for the sake of a game is asinine for most families. people who cry pc cry pc because they cant afford to buy a next gen console right now and still want to enjoy destiny at its release, people who cry that bungie is being partial only cry because they cant stand or cant buy a ps4. so let them express their emotions just dont block or scream at them because under that bruised ego is probably someone who can really contribute to the forum, after all what is this if not a medium for us to express our views to the people who are making this game

It's really not anything so significant as even an extra weapon or exclusive in-game content. I'm almost 100% positive that it has already been confirmed (months ago, mind you) that any exclusive PS content will only be a) Destiny-themed hardware and b) earlier access to certain things (like the beta and possibly DLC). I haven't been able to understand the reasoning behind any of this whining since when it first started a few months ago. There isn't even an iota of anything to be upset about.

2 通の返信In the end, it doesn't matter. Even if the entire community left because of the Beta stuff, which we won't, Bungie would lose say 50k to 80k purchases going off site traffic reports. I think we're actually much smaller than that. In the grand scheme, Bungie is looking to sell [i]millions[/i] of copies. The average, uninformed gamer couldn't care less about 1 week early access to a Beta or some special mission/loot that one console gets. They'll just buy the game when it comes out. New players would form a new community and the 7th Column would rise from the ashes.

I am an Xbox gamer and I agree with this statement. I have muted about 4 dozen people including the Xbox gamers that are shittin themselves about PS being introduced to bungie, the PS players that are trying to poke a caged bear with a stick, and anyone else that's trying to cause drama such as the sad christian extremist trying to bring religion into a video game. While I hate the console wars because it's a pointless debate, but I'm also thankful for it because It reminds me that if there was no Xbox, the PS4 wouldn't be as advanced as it is now, while without the PS, the X1 wouldn't be as advanced as it is now.

I would be a lot more relaxed if I was on the XBOX side. I mean, this game is impossible to pass to any Halo fan, so you'll have millions filling the servers right on day one. I'm not sure if the game will be that successful on the PS. Some of my friends hadn't even heard of it and some thought it was something completely different. Which is probably the reason why Bungie is doing this whole PS4 early beta thing - just to get the media attention and PS players with it. It wouldn't surprise me if the XBOX got beta access a day latter.

3 通の返信I do agree. That having been said, I do think its funny how Sony's fanbase is still complaining about how they should get even more bonus content simply because Halo is Xbox Exclusive. Many people actually claim that, as an apology to Sony fans for making Halo exclusive, Bungie's Destiny should become a Playstation Exclusive. Xbox Fans are whining about things being unfair because Bungie is trying to give those from Sony who are Skeptical a reason to step up to the plate, and the excited Sony Fans are showing that they just as immature as the other console's fans. And the vast minority of us actually dont care, and just want the game to come out so people can quiet down a little bit. [spoiler]But mark my words, them moment we get the game, Sony and Xbox will argue over whose looks nicer, and the current-gen users will whine that theirs doesnt look as good as the Next-Gen's do.[/spoiler]
