[spoiler]Humans. We don't know yet but I reckon the Ape Titan was like, one of the original ones and he went round turning other people into them. Eventually they split apart into different groups. Eren's dad probably took a sample and injected it into Eren, and that's how he can transform/control them.[/spoiler]

3 通の返信Titans are humans. The reason the weak spot is around the neck is because once that area is sliced the 'human' is killed and the titan body can no longer regenerate. As to how people unlock that power? Nobody knows. People think Eren obtained it by being injected by something his father gave him, but currently that looks incorrect. It is likely that injection was actually the ability to control titans. This is the reason Bert/Reiner/Annie were after him. Monkey Trouble (a big monkey titan that later appears) seems to have the ability to make humans turn into titans on will. He does this to an entire village, including Connie's mom. As to how he does that, we have no idea.

6 通の返信Here is some fact and a possible theory of mine. [spoiler]Titans are humans and pretty much everything that Sesto said. However, while Monkey Trouble can make Humans into Titans at will, I believe there is another way that Titans are created. My theory is that the transformation is due to some virus that can travel from a bite. I got this from chapter 51 with the guy who had his arm bitten off. He made a peculiar face, one that a titan would make.[/spoiler]

The Protogenoi were created along with the creation of the universe, and quasi exist as aspects of the universe. Two of the Protogenoi (Gaia and Uranus). Then, of course, the Titans gave birth to the Olympians (most notably from Cronus and Rhea).

2 通の返信I'm guessing you only watched that anime. The manga goes further into the story than the anime, but the manga is still ongoing. And I don't think the manga has gotten to a point where it's been fully explained yet.

Jornn_により編集済み: 11/16/2013 11:18:33 PMI don't read the manga, but from what I've heard they were people. I THINK they would get injected with something, which would turn them into the titans. It didn't work with females very well, so that's why there's only one female titan. Not sure if this is what's the case though.

6 通の返信Eh...not really, at least not in the anime anyways. All that's known about them is that they randomly appeared one day and started eating humans for the fun of it.
