I also like how they teleport out of nowhere. A lot of challenging scenarios and great enemy types can come from that. Just walk into a room and then when you least expect it, swarms of them just phase in and begin blasting you.

  • Exactly. Moreover, I think that the environments and darkness will play a really unique role in story telling. I can't help but see Destiny as a First person shooter Demon Souls/Dark Souls. From the ability to seamlessly migrate into other people's worlds, to the shared universe aspects with playspaces dedicated to PVP and others still for Boss encounters and hidden loot. The world seems to be heavily influenced by that kind of exploration, atmosphere, and story telling that From Software developed. And, to me, I can't help but see the enemies as another evolution of the traditional FPS fare into something more akin to the deadly beats and monsters that really require strategy to defeat in Dark/Demon Souls.

  • Yeah, Kinda like that. A game that pits you against insurmountable odds and forces you to think and use everything to your advantage and rewards you for doing so with epic loot and a stronger character. I always loved games like that. And it would be fitting in a game where cooperation is a key focus.
