My body is ready. My sanity is questionable.
I've prepared my Jimmies to be rustled.
Edit: So after a few hours of play, I'll go ahead and update this.
The PS4 menu and the whole UI is really sleek and fast. Haven't had a chance to download many of the free games on PSN yet, but I plan on getting to it sometime this weekend.
Killzone looks absolutely beautiful, and the gameplay is really... fast. I don't have much experience playing Killzone, but one moment I'm pinned down on a derelict ship by two machine gunners and the next thing I know I'm sending out my attack drone, lobbing a few grenades and watching Helghast get turned into ash by the Sun. The story and voice acting leave a bit to be desired, but it looks and plays great so far. Found a couple of glitches, one which was game breaking. Got knocked off a platform in Vektan city or wherever by a train and just kept free-falling forever.
Party and chat system is different from what I'm used to, but it's not too complicated once you spend a few minutes adjusting to everything.
PSN seems to work okay for now.
The PS4 system itself is very quiet, and very light. Not very heavy at all. Smaller than I thought it would be. Does NOT wobble. No power brick, just a small power cable and an HDMI cable and then you're all set.
The controller is everything everyone said it would be. It feels great, it's ultra-responsive, the touchpad works great for the OWL in Killzone, plug it into your PS4 to charge it for a little while and then you're good to go. Going between games and the "dashboard" is instantaneous. I can go invite people to parties, visit the PSN store and then go back to Killzone in about 6 or 7 seconds.
Haven't done any multiplayer yet. Plan on checking it out tomorrow or something.

1 返信I'm actually surprised at how well the touchpad works. It's got a very smooth and comfortable surface (not the glassy feel I was expecting) and it's incredibly responsive. My biggest concern for the DS4 was that moving my fingers to even use the touchpad would get in the way, but after using it, I find it incredibly intuitive.

The one problem I'm having is flipping through the UI it will immediately switch to the last thing I did. Like I would go into my friends list to see whose logged in and it flips to the Playstation live icon in the menu. I'm not pressing any buttons but it does that any way. Not all the time but just enough to be a annoying. I hope that gets fixed.

2 通の返信I think your idea of gamebreaking is off. Usually that means the glitch either keeps you from playing or causes a total loss of a game save.

11 通の返信THough I have spewed my share of vitriol in the recent past, I do hope everything works out well for those who got a PS 4. It looks like a great system, and I know you'll have some fun with it over the next decade or so. Personally, as excited as you all are now, I am just as excited for my Xbox One to arrive. Bring on the next gen!!!

2 通の返信Mines working great, switched from 360 to the PS4 this time around. I'm really loving the dashboard and controller, they're both very responsive, sadly I have not purchased any games yet, although tonight I will be getting BF4, until then, I'll be playing some F2P games when I can connect to goddamn PSN.

7 通の返信I hear that these problems came from Amazons shipments? Is that where you got it? I got mine last night at Gamestop, works perfectly.
