For a game that's supposed to be releasing its beta in a couple months and be coming out in about 6 you'd think we'd actually know something about the game by now.

We know enough for now- and will learn more as the release date approaches, but unlike many games, where even trailers contain major plot points- Destiny is still "Dark"- still unknown, waiting for people to explore it. That sense of the unknown (and Bungie's Rep) is probably the best thing the game has going for it right now- especially since out of the gameplay we've see- none of it is strikingly novel.

It goes both ways though. There are plenty of people who know very little about the game are are probably not willing to dive into it without learning more about the game first. This is an issue I've been seeing in various places, including here on the Bungie forums.
