Naturally, you want the world to enjoy it and experience it. Due to your company being a start up, you need money to keep doing what you love. So, you sign an exclusivity contract limiting your game only for one console. There are many consoles out there that could potentially play the game, but you are locked to one for the series. This will ensure that everyone can't enjoy the game, because consoles are expensive and who buys a console just for one game? Your contract is nearing an end and you make plans to not limit your games to only one console. After all, you make games for everyone to enjoy, not just one portion of people. Now that you are free of binding arbitration, it would be wise to attract new console fans. What would be a good way of doing so? Ramped up advertisements for other consoles would be a start. Early beta access is another lure that would be a good enticement for those who have never played your games... It's smart business marketing. Also, I'll be picking up my 360 copy on release.

13 通の返信I am a little upset that Bungie is releasing the beta early for Playstation, but since they are free from Microsofts contract, I am sure they want to be fair and let the Playstation community have first go at Destiny since Xbox has been hogging the wealth of Bungie, I play Xbox myself, and I have to say it's only fair.

3 通の返信Okay I made a thread asking this but I have seen a lot of individuals on here saying that ps4 will have the beta for only a week more than xb1. I can deal with that no biggie, I just was hoping someone could provide proof of the week difference, did Bungie say only a week? Cause that would be great info to put up if anyone has a source.

Right in the loyalty. I mean come on that is a serious low-blow to the Xbox over here. Like I said I'm not usually the one to complain about this stuff but jeez, it really does feel like we are just being ignored on the Xbox. Kind of pushed around a bit, even... A week of gameplay is HUGE... that hurts... low blow Bungie... low blow....

I love Halo as much as anyone else here, but Bungie doesn't serve Microsoft. Likely, Sony is being a lot more receptive and eager about this game. They have put more work into promoting it. This shouldn't surprise anyone in the least. That being said, console allegiances mean jack squat. Bungie owes it fans for a lot, but they don't owe their fans just for playing the Xbox. They care about their community more than most developers, and it kind of upsets me how pitifully we treat them in response to what is actually a pretty trivial difference. Has anyone ever thought that they might need more time on the Playstation because they haven't had any prior full-scale experience with the playstation online structure? I'm sure they have plenty of reasons. Cool your jets, 7th Column.

1 返信Bungie isn't as good at communicating with their community as I thought. We'll probably only see a reply if they notice their Xbox preorders start to drastically fall.

Halo is the reason i started playing xbox back in 04-05. been enjoying all the halo games since then. i decided to go with the PS4 instead of the Xbox 1 because it seemed like the better system for me. (geared more towards games than overall entertainment) It looks like Bungie feels the same way. I dont know why Microsoft let Bungie go but as a new PS4 owner i couldnt be happier with the news coming from Bungie, my favorite developer.

To be perfectly honest, when Halo was exclusive to Xbox I always felt bad for Playstation owners (Mostly because I own both consoles) my Playstation I actually use just for PS exclusives. This is just my opinion though, I mean who really cares if they get it sooner than us? I also strongly feel that ANYONE stating that they are a "loyal fan" of some sort wouldn't be complaining about any decision that Bungie makes. Unlike you whiners I am a loyal fan, I believe in the moves Bungie is making. Whether someone gets a bowl of cereal from mom before I do doesn't matter. Because at the end of the day I know mine will come sooner or later. True Bungie fans know patience, the same type of patience that Bungie has shown in their quest for world domination. Do not forget the mission my fellow brethren, be true to The Septagon. Do not forget Bungies promise to us, they will remember those who are loyal and believing in the cause. I repeat, do not forget the true goal. Learn some patience, sit down and shut that yapper of yours. Be happy that the release is ever so closer. I know you guys at Bungie (or maybe it's Activision throwing a bit of weight around, I admittedly don't know the full terms of the deal) are trying to extend a friendly hand to the new PlayStation members of the Column, but you do realize that it's still populated by Xbox Gamers by a [i]vast[/i] majority, right? It's just hard to feel the love over here on the Xbox side. Starting to feel a bit lonely actually. I'm still very excited for the game, but this is kind of like salt in a bullet wound*. *I do have a personal reference for that...

2 通の返信Well... shit. Looks like the Bungie/Sony partnership is bigger than I thought... I thought there was just going to be that exclusive PS4 content. But now extra beta time... and I'm guessing they'll get DLC earlier too. Sigh. Yeah I know, us Xbox fans were Bungie's only babies for a decade and it's time for PlayStation to get some love, but this is still pretty disappointing.

4 通の返信Ladies and gentlemen i know were mad no furious about this but remeber this when black ops 2 came out didn't we get all the new maps,skins, etc. so i believe the only reason we as a community should be mad is because we were given things first before PS3 don't be mad o.k we'll get it sooner or later p.s they pushing the game past its limit

BECAUSE GUESS WHAT?!" it all comes down to this. Do I want halo or destiny? To have the cloud or not? I cannot answer these questions myself my friends. Nor do I expect many of you to have answers for me. But my god, this will tear us apart. Not just the Bungie community So many will defect from the realms of Microsoft and xbox The servers and friends lists will be barren and desolate turing friend against friend brother against brother Sony will prosper Sony will have many a new patron and their holds and lands will swell for a time But at what cost my friends? AT WHAT COST?! Such lost much inner battle very confliction
