I had come across a pretty interesting article that sheds a little more light on PS4's Deep Down....

So, what does the #gaming community think of your gear in Deep Down potentially deteriorating during gameplay? Or the fact that there aiming for photo-realism, personally, it gets me a little bit more exited for the game, can't wait to see some on-screen footage of it.

The last game I played with 'realistic weapon deterioration' was Far Cry 2, and weapon deterioration meant there that after firing two or three rounds from your brand new sniper it was due for a replacement. That sucked. If they put in true weapon deterioration it would take years (literally) for a sword to rust and break down, depending on the ability to clean the blood off the blade after gutting a foe.

Failure4Lifeにより編集済み: 9/18/2013 11:40:12 AMI don't know what Deep Down is or what weapons it uses but realistic degradation would be terrible. A sword would be dull after cutting 1-3 guys with it (Or even worse, 1 to 3 hits if hitting plate mail), even three body blades from the Samurai usually were only good for a few fights before needing to be sharpened. If it uses guns then unless you are using an AK-47 then your weapon will malfunction rather quickly without regular maintenance.

1 返信Well honestly, every game that I played where your armor/weapons deteriorate annoyed the hell out of me. You normally have to stop what your doing to fix it. The fact that deteriorating items rarely appear in video games was not because a lack of technology, but rather it was taken out because it made the game worse.

yeah I saw this too. I also hope that destiny's armor takes on a more "halo reach" look after you've been playing a while. Deep down is now def on the radar. I hope we can get some armor that was more in the style of the original teaser back in feb. Oh and female characters.
