Should men be able to completely opt out of fatherhood?
So we know a women can decide to just completely opt out of being a mother through abortion, even against the father's wishes?
So at the same time, can the father chose to opt out of being a father? Sign some papers and all contact with that child is cut off. He doesn't have to pay a single penny in child support or any other related forms of pay, but won't be allowed to see the child just like the mother wouldn't be able to see her child.

So guys mean about .01% in the grand scheme of actually carrying a child to term physically. some have asserted that the moment a zygote is formed the rights are there but have given no supporting argument for why this should be true. Nor have they given good enough reasoning as to why the father should have a say in a process which after original conception he has zero biological part in.

We need to stop making these threads, I've never seen such combined intolerance and ignorance all in one place. State your thoughts, let the other person state their's, counter it with what you want to say(in it's entirety I might add), let them do the same, then it's done. This would greatly cut back on these pointless insult fests.

Women like to say that abortion/birth control is a women's issue, so if that's the case why can't the father opt out of it at will? Isn't that what the "Liberating women" would want? Furthermore, I don't like how Democrats try to push healthcare reform to force companies to pay for birth control. I don't see any of those supporters willing to put condoms on the list of birth control, why should I pay for the morning after pill?

10 通の返信Flawed thread in the respect that it causes inherent unequality. When the woman chooses to have the child, BOTH parents are still responsible. When the woman chooses to abort, BOTH parents lose responsibility. In your situation, only one person is responsible.
