In most mmo rpg games with magic everyone ends up chooseing magic skills beacause once you level up enough they get over powered and you can beat pretty much anything with a couple spells. in this game i hope they dont over do all the spells for warlocks..

1 返信In my experience, RPG mages tend to be massively underpowered in games that have a focus on action. So I doubt Warlocks will be overpowered. I actually expect them to be the most underpowered class.

2 通の返信But everyone will have magic! And plus Hunters have Golden Gun which looks to be the most powerful in my opinion! Imagine doing that spell on a rocket launcher!

2 通の返信With Bungie in the Halo games, they made a point time and time again that balance was the key to everything. Here is a little extract from Bungies co-creator Jason Jones:
I ask Jones to share more about his 17-point design philosophy, which he hinted at earlier. Is there a specific example he can point to? “Sure,” he says. “The guns on the [Halo 1] Ghost were balanced by making them really inaccurate. If you aim at something in Halo 1 with the Ghost and shoot at it, your shots are going all over the place. That balances the weapon, because it’s not overpowered. But it wasn’t balanced in a way that was empowering for the player. “I think one of the ways that I describe that is that every object, every player-facing verb, needs to be a power fantasy in some way. And so the Ghost was correctly balanced numerically, but it wasn’t that fun. It didn’t make you feel awesome. It wasn’t something you jumped on and thought you were going to tear the place up with. “What we should have done was balance the power of those weapons with something like overheating or something like ammunition… I’ll stick with overheating. We should have balanced with overheating instead of with inaccuracy, because then you could have held back to line up a target and then pounded it, rather than experience now where you just hold down the trigger and you basically can’t hit it. You feel the opposite of empowerment. You feel disempowered. “So of the 17 points, Point 6 or Point 7 or whatever it is [says] that every player-facing verb should be a power fantasy. I think [Bungie COO Pete] Parsons says it in a different way. He says ‘Balance for awesome.’”
I honestly think we are in good hands....

I have my own wonderings about how Bungie will succeed at balancing the classes and races so that, as they've claimed, no one will regret their choice and none will be more powerful than the others. But I think Bungie can pull it off.

Nah. I trust Bungie. Destiny is still in pre-alpha, and it looks fantastic. If they're already this far in development, then I expect the final product will be balanced enough to where the classes won't be OP'd.

Everyone is pretty even as far as we know actually. Titans have a ground pound with a HUGE radius, the hunters a 1 shot one kill with a lot of shots, and we warlocks have an awesome explosion move! But besides that, it seems we'll be able to switch a few moves, as in the multiplayer a titan (I think) uses a bubble shield like move but then again a warlock has three moves so maybe everyone has different skills.
