The campaign had a lot of Halo-ness to it, minus the Knights... I really felt that those enemies were totally unfitting in the Halo Universe. The multiplayer really doesn't capture a lot of what made Halo multiplayer great, but I think it had fun in its own world. Nonetheless, through mainly modding and such, a huge variety of gametypes, new and old, were introduced into Halo 4 by the community and I really think that custom games now offer so much more potential than what 343 gave players from the start. Unfortunately, I don't think many people will get to experience the more Halo-like multiplayer that currently exists in custom lobbies because so much of the community quit so quickly.

1 返信Halo 4 was a series in itself, 343 should've cut their losses and republished halo 4 as a different game. It's a good game, just not a good halo game. But it took on more of a fast paced, all out war game. On maps like ragnarok and exile, I think the vehicles work much better and are more fun to use than in previous games.

1 返信No. The reasons: 1. Music. Where are the men humming when I launch the game? For the brief second they appeared outside the halo ring, I felt at home. 2. Flood. Every master cheif game has thus far had encounters with the all consuming parasite that caused this universe. Without them, what is the point of the rest of the game? 3. Mechanics. The gameplay was radically different. The covenant, even on legendary, were stupidly easy to kill. That was made up for in the 'power weapons or bust' mentality with the prometheans. Neither of which fit the halo standard. 4. Multiplayer. I dont need to explain this. Lack of large vehicle maps and leaning away from everyone being equal with an AR at spawn left a strong cod taste on the tounge. 5. Story. The lackluster explanations of how everything happened was annoying. Where did the cheif get new armor? Why are we fighting the elites after the treaty? How am I supposed to have a clue about the forunner lore if I just play the games and dont read the books? Sorry for the rant. I have discussed this a lot with my friends and these were the conclusions we came to. Obviously it did not feel halo at all.

No. It didn't have the natural Halo feel of "Shit's -blam!-ed yo, so go kill some aliens" and the feel like it was written by Tom Clancy The "We are ODST" portrays that feel greatly along with the Halo 3 Landfall trailer Now Halo 4, it just didn't have that vive. It felt like it was written by a 1171 Water Dog who has his 500+ dollar plate carrier next to his anime collection, not by a Infantry men who has been deployed to Fallujah

6 通の返信Not really. I mean the graphics and the detail in everything went down, the Spartans look weird, the soundtrack sucks, etc. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but when I pop in Halo 3 and I hear that Duuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhchime....I feel like I'm home...I've never once gotten that with 4.

2 通の返信No. It sort of looks like Halo.... but that's where the similarity ends. For me it does seem that 343 have focused on all the bits from previous Halos that none of us liked.

3 通の返信It felt like it was trying a bit too hard to feel more sci-fi like to live up to it's competitors like Star Wars and Mass Effect and etc. I loved the sense of mystery and unknown scale of the universe and its predecessors in the original Bungie Halos. You only knew a little bit about the forerunners, but you could explore their artifacts they left behind. Fully fleshing out the forerunners took away that feeling for me and I believe that's one of the reasons why Halo 4 isn't as appealing to me.

There are aspects to the story that seemed un-Halo. One of the things I've always liked about the storyline is the sense that you're a part of something much bigger than yourself, something you don't fully understand. And that wasn't really in Halo 4. The art style was different, too. I'm not a fan of the Prometheans or Didact. The multiplayer is obviously pretty different. There's still some familiarity because of the Spartans' shields/strength and old weapons, but I think the inclusion of new mechanics and customization had a huge impact. So it basically feels like a Halo game that was developed by someone other than Bungie.

5 通の返信I absolutely loved Halo 4. It was emotional and engaging. As a long time Halo fan (I currently own every game except Halo wars) I was quite surprised to see how well 343 remastered CE and especially how well they pulled off Halo 4. Halo is not CoD, it is subject to change and evolve unlike other fps games. I absolutely can't wait to see what they have in store for Halo 5.

2 通の返信No. And I'm happy. Because Halo 3, the supposed "god-king" was horrible and I'm glad that 4 improved the shitty formula of the past few games.
