Halo 4 at RTX: The Pit & other DLC (Bullseye Pack/Armour/Weapon skins) UPDATED
It has just been announced that The Pit from Halo 3 is being remade as 'Pitfall' along with:
- Vertigo (new map)
- New Weapon Skins (one of them is the Steel Skin pack; steampunk theme for all weapons)
- New game mode
- Ricochet Armour
- Infinity Armour Pack (Prefect, Mark V, ODST)
Sounds like some pretty awesome additions to me, absolutely loved The Pit in Halo 3 and some of the returning armours look pretty cool.

5 通の返信When I play Halo 4 I don't think the game would benefit from MORE maps, MORE stances, and MORE disgusting ugly armor. The game just simply isn't fun. It's frustrating, inconsistent, laggy, and at it's best it is still shit.

They're bringing back classic armor, a map EVERYONE loves, as well as things like new skins and stances. And none of it is gameplay altering. It's just cosmetic. That's how you are supposed to do it. Edit: 11+ likes and good comments. I am not alone.

I think it looks really cool actually. The pit was a fun map and the new armor actually looks a lot better than most of the armor in game already. Haha give people any opportunity to complain and they will jump at it every time.

343i rushed at releasing every DLC planned in less than 5 months... Seriously? Now they are gonna release stuff when almost eveyone has lost faith or never had faith on 343. I don't like how H4 turned out, it might be the best selling game ever (as stated by MS) but keeping the player playing the game for years its hard and 343i couldn't achieve that with their mediocre game. Bungie managed because they know how to make games.

I don't know how the Pit from halo 3 could be remade in Halo 4. Halo 4 is just a messy mashup of ADD gameplay and sprinting. Halo 3 The Pit was about tactical coordination and skill like jumping from starting spawn to green to outwit the enemy and grab camo for example. You won't see any of that in Halo 4's The Pit as you don't in Halo 4 Ragnarok. GG 343 but if you want me to like Halo you have to make a Halo game not Call of Halo Modern Spartan Camo Campers 4.

I'm not going to sit here and act like I like The Pit. I think it's the second most over-rated map in the original trilogy next to Blood Gulch. I'm not going to explain myself as blind MLG wannabes are going to close their ears and just tell me how my stats on previous Halo games are trash and how The Pit is the greatest map in all of Halo history. With all of the above said I'm actually excited for The Pit because it's going to be a much better map than most of the current Halo 4 maps. I would have much rather preferred something a little better though and something specifically from Halo 2. It's odd how much 343's policies have changed from HCEA to H4. At first they were like "We don't want to remake anything that's already on the 360 because it would be redundant" and now they are like "We're losing fans at a rapid pace, let's give the current fanbase Ragnarok and then Pitfall because we know most of the HCE and H2 era fans are long gone". The Pit is also easily remade in forge. I would have loved to see a map like Terminal, Relic, or Containment remade. Maps that aren't really possible in Forge.

Oh boy weapon skins that do nothing, 2 armor sets that are in Halo Reach and a remake of a map that experienced forgers can do and did. Because after all why remake a map that can't be completely done in Forge when you can remake a map that you can fully do in Forge?

3 通の返信I'm very excited for The Pit to be remade. One of my favorite maps in Halo 3, but how will it play in Halo 4? With sprint and all of the new features I wonder how different it will feel. Any thoughts?

This looks like a cool bundle of stuff, I really wish the prior ones were like this and that they would trash the whole "DLC with toys" deal later this year. Still, doesn't the Prefect helmet look like a redesigned Vanguard helmet?
