Recently Bungie evaded the RMT question...
I'm guessing this means Destiny will have some sort of "In game purchase" system where players make micro transactions to get ahead.
I'm praying this isnt true. Nothing is more annoying than players paying to win. I would really hate to see the Destiny experienced get ruined because Bungie decided to be greedy. It would seriously discourage a lot of players who are already forking over a TON of cash to Microsoft and Sony.
Its gonna be annoying when we have overpowered newbs playing off mommy and Daddy's credit cards...
PLEASE BUNGIE!!! NO MICRO TRANSACTIONS!!!

They're probably being quiet about it so people don't take it out of context. Much like what's happening right now. If there is a micro-transaction system, I doubt it would be very invasive. They've stated multiple times that they want the game to be accessible to everyone, not just people with large wallets.

no makes you buy them people . I used them in dead space 3 to upgrade my suit so I could use in-game resources to upgrade my weapons , and not have to worry about neglecting my suit , and in dragons dogma : dark arisen , the rift crystal packs you could buy were a lifesaver , as the higher you get the more expensive pawns get , and with them I could get pawns higher than my level and not have to worry bout getting a stronger pawn for ages . in general as long as it is for convenience and or cosmetic , and no one puts a gun to your head and says : buy this , im good with it.

2 通の返信Anything to avoid a subscription fee I endorse 100%. Anyone who wants additional goodies and is willing to pay for it should get it through Bungie, especially because third-party vendors will sell stuff regardless. It's best that Bungie use the money for the benefit of the community and sell also through micro-transactions.

I'd rather there were not microtransactions, unless they were for purely cosmetic reasons, like banner choices or stuff like that. Then I don't care, like the OP said I don't like pay to win games. I trust Bungie overall.

1 返信If there is micro transactions, I know that Bungie is smart enough to make them only visual items. They've been in the game business and know how this stuff works don't worry.

1 返信As long as it's cosmetic, or something like a 6-hour XP boost. I have no problem with it. It takes money to keep MMOs up and running. Especially if it avoids us from paying a sub fee.

In an interview I watched a bungie member said micro transactions won't have a huge skill benefiting selection, almost entirely cosmetic. Also due to the weapon tree system your guns are only as good as your character. One last thing: I'm sure destiny isn't going to be huge on PVP outside of the last city, the open world system has private areas where you and your fire team continue the story and also public events where while you continue the story with your fire team you are able to meet up with a random fire team and fight with them, not against them. While this next idea is just a speculation I believe it is very likely, maybe in the last city you can enter an arena where everyone's armor rating is reduced to an equal level and everyone is given a specific selection in weapon classes. I'm sure bungie isn't creating a pay to win game, they're a lot smarter than that.

I almost guarantee that if there is some sort of real money P2P system or microtransaction system it will not be "p2win" I can see there being an ingame real currency system that allows you to unlock further expansions or small DLCS - rather than going and buying the next Disc. Cosmetic stuff is always fun. I'll actually pay for some of that stuff if I see something I want. We are going to spend 10 years with these characters anyway you know.
