Have some faith in Bungie
You all seem to be micromanaging simple aspects of the game that Bungie will have certainly considered, and will undoubtedly perfect.
Spouses and pets probably won't happen. Hopefully Bungie realizes that we're not playing dolls, but rather going on an epic adventure with friends to explore a mysterious and unknown world.
I also saw a thread about snipers firing too far. You don't think Bungie has considered this? Weapon overpowering is a pretty well-monitored part of any shooter.
There are more, but my point is, you should bother coming up with good ideas, or asking legitimate questions, rather than nitpicking every little thing you can dream up.
[b]This isn't Bungie's first rodeo. They gifted us with Halo. Trust them to make Destiny amazing. I have no doubts that they will do so.[/b]

I am certainly not telling people to avoid making suggestions and asking questions. I am simply suggesting that people avoid the obvious suggestions that Bungie is sure to have thought of.

Now, Destiny is the exact example of what will happen to future gaming. All online. Only single player. They will force us to buy multiple televisions, consoles, and disks in order to play with our friends and families. This is the future. They will begin to leave last-gen consoles behind, and nothing will be in their way. We may be gamers, but truly, we have no power on our own. We need to band together, and bring the fight to them! Hear Hear friend this is what makes the community great. You offer an opinion all you have to do is sit back and enjoy what the community does. Respond to what you want, block what you don't like, but above all respect it. Enjoy the warmth of knowing that there are others just like yourself who know Bungie for the greatness they have achieved and how we know they will create something that will last more then a lifetime. The next 10 years will be great and it will be larger and better then anything they have done before. See you star-side Gentleman.

2 通の返信I'm sure Bungie will endeavour to make a very resolute balance between fiction and gameplay. I just don't know that Destiny will be fun to play. I don't know, because I haven't played it. I think Bungie's plan is also to create alot of replay value, to keep you coming back for more. Halo had skulls, meta scoring, co-op, map packs and UGC (forge), which I think was a success. A game as big as Destiny (interplanetary), would need a serious amount of content to fill the spaces. I hope it's not a case of just shoot everything. Shooting gets boring to.

While I know that Bungie Employees are human, and therefore fallible, I'm not really concerned that they are going to Bungle up so royally that they would port the Sniper Rifle in Halo with not a single thought about the potential consequences. I wrote that wall for you guys. I find Game Design fascinating, but many people don't think about it too much in their spare time. I wanted to speculate about the Destiny Sandbox and how it might differ from the Halo Sandbox, and I chose to focus such a broad topic on just the Sniper Rifle. I hoped that it might inspire some people to base their speculation more on game design as opposed to "Well wouldn't it be nice to have X feature?" While dreaming about future games in that fashion is okay, it's much more interesting to take that dream and go "Okay, so if we implement feature X, what does that do to the game?" I'll admit that my thread has been largely misunderstood due to my attempts at working in an amusing hook from a troll thread in the Halo 3 era, but I stand behind what I said in that thread. It's not that I don't believe in Bungie, I just find the subject of Game Design far too interesting to leave it just to them. Does that make sense?

Reach was kind of a disappointment... So I have my reason for doubt. I also have ODST as a reason. Maybe Bungie just wasn't trying that hard in the last few Halo games. Idk. I just hope they give everything they've got for Destiny. Bungie is good at making their games super hyped up but they're also good at disappointing sometimes.

Iv'e loads of respect for Bungie. They are the only company that interect so much with there fans and i respect them so much for that. We also have a right to ask questions and put Bungie on the spot sometimes, it keeps them on there toes and also gives them some useful information of what the fans want. See you on destiny :)

That's what separates bungie from many other game developers - they listen to their community. I love the dedication of Bungies community and some of the ideas they can conjure. Also, it's a great way to spend time, especially considering the game is roughly a year away! :)
