Vanguard class
A IGN reporter said something about a class known as "Vangaurd" is this a real class, or a mix-up? If it is real is it usable at start or will be unlocked another way? or through DLC?

6 通の返信There are three classes. If vanguard was one, its been cut. But Bungie literature indicates that the Vanguard might be an information gathering or preliminary scouting organization. If you go to their info on the Cabal, it says, "Awaiting more reports from the Vanguard."

I think the vanguard armour a lot of people are talking about is given to you upon being appointed/promoted to the rank of vanguard and upon being promoted/appointed, you are admitted into the group, the Vanguard.

I believe that a Vanguard is either a class, or status. If you try research info about Mars and Venus on Bungie.net, it says "Awaiting reports from the Vanguard" Perhaps there members of a Government, or elite soldiers of the city? Could also be the armour of elite soldiers. We shall have to wait until E3.

It's a mix up I think. Another article by another company (can't remember who, sorry) described the same story in more detail, and said Jones' character wore a "vanguard chest plate" which sounds more likely to me. Still, I guess it's possible, but I can't see the niche it would fit into.

The vanguard could be a title or some sort of class just for bungie employes, like the blue flames. This in my mind makes sense, this is because of how the info on some things on destiny are awaiting some kind of approval from the vanguard, bungie.

If I had to take a shot at it, I would say that a Vanguard is a higher rank appointed to people with great seniority or who have contributed in some big way, not a class. Either that, or it will be to classes what recon was to armor in halo 3- A differentiating mark between staff and gamers, that regular players could obtain on very rare occasions.

2 通の返信Ign Cleared up that report saying "playing a Titan Class with Vangaurd armour" so if you are awarded or recive a specific set of armour for the Titan, Vangaurd sound to be a sub class of Titan

1 返信I feel like Vanguard is an Association, or maybe a place such as the "watchtower from Justice League". I dont think it is a class or rank because of the quote "awaiting reports from the Vanguard"... from 'the' Vanguard.
