Halo was originally going to be released on Mac if I remember correctly, and we all know what PC gaming is like on a Mac. So to say Bungie don't owe a lot of their success to MS would be kind of silly.
Actually, Halo was revealed at Macworld, but it would have been a simultaneous PC/Mac release like Myth 2 and Oni. Halo likely would have been as (or more) successful than other PC games of the time, but the dawn of the console age gave Halo the boost it needed to become a household name.
I think Bungie will continue to support PS4 and Xbox One both for quite a while to ensure as many players as possible enjoy their world. If they can also make a PC/Mac game that is worth the time spent on it, we can expect that, as well. Bungie's loyalty is to themselves, and no one else.
I see, thanks for cleaning that up :)
I agree I'm sure we will see good things for both MS and Song fans in the future, a PC release would also be nice.
