Is it me, or is Microsoft advertising Xbox Live Gold on the dashboard a bit too much?
I've certainly noticed a lot more people with Silver accounts lately, me included. I cancelled earlier this year for two reasons:
#1: Waiting for next gen
#2: Possibility of going to PC and PS4
Anyone else cancelled this year and if so, what are your reasons?

I moved to a different apartment where the only working phone jack, and therefore internet access, was in the kitchen and my entertainment corner was in the living room. As I have a non-Slim 360 Elite from early 2010, I don't have wireless access. I physically can't connect. I'll re-up after moving (again), and buying the Durango/720 and Destiny.

3 通の返信Sometimes they offer limited time deals on gold subs, the most recent I can remember I think was 39.99 for a year. If they never advertised it how would you know about it?

5 通の返信Meh. I don't find it too bad. Isn't it only $20 for 3 months? I'll probably be sticking with those until the next gen xbox comes out. I can imagine I'd be pretty bored playing offline.

18 通の返信Why bitch about the ads on the dashboard? They are non intrusive and harmless. They don't even make noise unless you highlight them. Stop complaining about the damn ads, because they could be a hell of a lot worse.

Xbox probably wants you to make the mistake of renewing your subscription for live before next gen so that it encourages you to get the 720 since youd be locked in. As for me my live runs out at the perfect time in november :D. Its a good strategy by microsoft. However I think if the ps4 has free online then its really gonna be tough for the 720 to gain a foot hold since their networks are so similar now
