If you were a recruiter for a business, and you had to hire 1 person to be a manager. A young, perfectly qualified woman, and a young, perfectly qualified man both show up for an interview and both seem to be perfect fits. Why would it not make PERFECT logical sense from a business perspective to hire the man every time? Women have maternity leave, where they get 12-48 weeks PAID for no work, and you have to train or get a replacement for them the entire time and you can't fire them. Then they get pregnant multiple times so you have to find a replacement, pay BOTH of them while she is pregnant. Meanwhile, the man is able to work every day of the week for the rest of their lives. There is nothing sexist about women not getting hired as much as men. NOTHING. It is completely business related.
