His first film, [i]District 9[/i] was a metaphor for racial injustice and inequality, so it seems that he's shifted his focus to economic inequality. For Neill, the racial inequality is something he grew up with in South Africa with apartheid, and is still a prevelant issue many people can relate too. Economic inequality is something that has been on my many people's minds too because the economic downturn. Not saying this kind of story is new. even in sci-fi, but I feel Neill will tell a story that will have some truth that people of all political leanings should keep in mind.
