If you mute someone at the moment and said person makes a thread, it appears on the forum as a collapsed option - letting you expand if you want to.
Why is this even an option? If I mute somebody, I don't want to see their threads at all. Hell, I don't even want to be reminded that they exist. It just seems a tad redundant, that's all. Plus it can make the forum a tad messy when you have quite a few people muted.
Ultimately I don't have to look at the collapsed options, but is there no way to make people disappear completely?

OP: the idea of REALLY hiding "hidden posts" could be something that our script-writing community could implement. I would recommend that you stay tuned, let the website settle out even more and then wait for the very innovative, creative and imaginative members to make requests (such as yours) possible.

1 返信Mute, Report and Hide accordingly. If the user in question is muted/reported enough times, I'm under the Impression that action will be taken, whether by moderation or some sort of automated system.

Sorry, no. It was clearly demonstrated over the past 10 or so years that online members were unable to practice the "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." And so, the mute function is created in order to make it "take more effort to be confronted by something/someone that you will be unable to contain or control your vitriol." If you consider a collapsed post too much of a reminder that "someone who I despise has not yet dropped dead like I wished they would".... well, that's the universe for you. It doesn't feel an obligation to comply to your wishes, no matter how badly you want it to.
