I completely understand the difficulty in taking a console game and editing it to work on PC. I understand. But this game, as awesome as it sounds, deserves the right to be played on personal computers. I, along with other PC gamers, would really love this thing to put on our gaming system. I'm gonna get it for 360 anyyway, but I'm way more PC based. So for the developers, at least take it in to consideration. Ther will be ALOT of followers on PC, mostly because of the way the game is set up.
Thanks

This is so annoying. Bungie is already developing for FOUR CONSOLES!!!!! That's a lot to handle, so stop and think about that. Making a thread won't help, cause they haven't ruled out PC, but they CURRENTLY can't develop for PC

1 返信Yes, I would absolutely love it! I really don't like these people going "URRR YOU THINK YOU'RE SO COOL WITH YOUR PC"... I understand why some prefer consoles, and some prefer PC. I would much rather play my games on PC because that's what most of my friends play, and I prefer the flexibility. And I would love for Destiny to arrive on PC :/
-
1 返信I totally agree with you! I as well as many others are PC gamers would love to see "Destiny" become apart of the PC gaming world. There are a lot of haters about the idea of this happening but just the concept of the game and how to maneuver through the menus and such, would be a great combination with the PC. But Bungie can do what they feel is best for the game, but at least consider the idea... :)

It has only been advertised on PS3 and Xbox because they don't want to spoil too much, it is coming out on PC, and if my hunch is right, many other consoles, both present and future. It won't be coming out this year, which leaves a whole year for change.

Well, I was going to buy Destiny for sure if there was going to be a PC version since I had 60 bucks in my wallet. Now, eh, I may wait a long time. I spent that 60 dollars suckering more useless shit to my Mosin. But who can blame me? I like making Russians cry...

3 通の返信Bungie never developed PC games before. They originally developed Mac ONLY games. Cry a river, PC fans.

2 通の返信Haters gonna hate on the PC master race. Ooh. That rhymes. Seriously though, this game needs to come out on the PC. I'm fine with a delayed release, as long as they're spending the delay time actually optimizing for PC.
-
I support the call for a PC version of the game. Bungie, I know you've never been big on PC games after your transition from the Mac to the XBox, but please... playing games with a console controller is like automatic transmission (auto, not semi-auto) for a supercar. The Keyboard and Mouse combo connect me to the game more.

2 通の返信Please understand what Bungie's strengths are. Before Halo, FPS's on consoles were either bad, financial failure, or just distractions. Halo was the first FPS on consoles that actually held a popular interest for TONS of people. Their strength is in taking the strengths of PC games and bringing them to consoles in a way consoles never had before. The PC has tons of MMO's, consoles have like what ... 3? Maybe 4 if you count MAG? I understand your pleas, but just take it in. Play it the way the devs want to present it, and enjoy it.

3 通の返信I hope it'll be on PC too, I don't want to buy any of the next gen consoles for just one game.

spartan058 billにより編集済み: 2/19/2013 9:31:19 PMIf you read the leaked contract between Bungie and Activision, PC releases are planned, though sometimes after console releases. However, most ecstatically for me, I just filled out the beta survey (for like the 5th time), and I saw that they mentioned (GNU-)Linux under "PC"!!! So excited! Valve just made games accessible to me again, and now it seems Bungie is taking notice! Woo!!

7 通の返信Infini7yxにより編集済み: 2/18/2013 6:45:31 PMI actually think that a PC version is quite likely to be released. This series is supposed to be running for at least 10 years, and since it seems to have a lot of MMO-like features I would be very surprised if Bungie would not try to expand Destiny to as many platforms as possible. Considering Bungie's independence from Microsoft they have absolutely nothing to lose by going truly multiplatform with their titles. And However they might have put an eventual hold on announcing a possible PC-version (as well as for the next generation consoles) simply due to their hardware superiority. Bungie has probably spent a good chunk of money developing Destiny for the 360 and PS3, I'm sure they want to make some profit on those versions. By announcing a PC version or hinting a next gen release, sales of the 360 and PS3 would most likely suffer a great deal. EDIT: Just found this. Just a rumor as of yet of course, but interesting nonetheless.

2 通の返信All this leads up to is will it sell? and will activision allow it? Sure it might sell over 100,000 copies but in this day and age where production is quite expensive.... it just doesn't really seem like it's worth the cost. Keep PC gamers happy and lose money or Save a bunch of money just giving it to consoles... It really just seems like a money/selling issue to me

2 通の返信PC master race Still spells "alot" Sorry to be a jerk. I am PC mustard rice myself and I'm a bit sad to only on consoles, but I guess it keeps thing level, and I at least have a 360 to play it on.

Hi King, I see your frustration, but I am glad to see you are seeing where Bungie is coming from. After all "we make console games" I do not think that PC is totally out of the question, but they are mainly focusing on console. From the view point from a console gamer is, that for years a game style like this has only ever been seen on the PC platform and never came to console. Bungie has now dedicated the time to an awesome project for console gamers and to be honest I think we deserve it. Bungie also deserves this opportunity to path a way for the future. I also believe that Destiny's Game Experience will be focused for a console gamers perspective and that maybe the way they plan to develop the game only provides maximum experience via console....Rather than PC. I am glad you are looking at getting a 360, maybe we will bump into each other. Regards & Lightspeed

10 通の返信I am completely fine with it not being on PC. I prefer shooters on consoles anyway. And the minute it's ported to PC, you pretty much won't have any choice but to play it there if you hope to remain competitive (assuming it has some sort of PvP). Not because PC gamers have more "leet skillz" but because of the fact that mouse/keyboard are easier to aim with (so actually, they could have worse skill, and still do better). Unless they restrict the game to gamepad input only (but I don't see how they could). Also, I think people overestimate the number of people who would buy the game on PC who wouldn't buy it on a console - Most of bungie's fanbase these days are comprised of Halo fans, who come from the xbox. (The last non-halo game they made for mac/pc was Oni - 12 years ago in 2001)

externalにより編集済み: 2/19/2013 9:01:44 AMThere's plenty of cross-platform titles that could circumvent the mouse vs. gamepad issue by not trying to solve it, and just restrict PC friends to their own and console friends to their own. And the only area this really is called for is PvP, unless you expect people to be really competitive about their stats in co-op too. The inclusion of a character experience leveling system rules out a level playing field in that realm anyhow. I'm not saying co-op won't be fun/challenging mind you just that competing as a low level scrub against your nolife max level buddy for NPC kills and space points is a fool's errrand. TL;DR: possible workable solution to PC v Console gameplay issues (based on what we know, disregarding any technical/dev resource issues): Everyone can play with everyone co-op, consolefriends and PCfriends restricted to their own kind for PvP arena whatever thing.

2 通の返信The biggest disadvantage of a game as large as Destiny sounds like it will be being on a console is the other console players. The average collection of PC players are much more intelligent, much more willing to collaborate and cooperate, and much more mature than the average 13-year-old brat on Xbox Live. Not ALL console players are selfish and immature children, in fact quite a few competent players populate the servers and lobbies of console online games, and the PC platform is filled with its own share of trolls, griefers, hackers, tryhards, and PlanetSide 2 players who refuse to use their mic... but these individuals are the exception, not the rule. That's my experience coming from two years of online gaming through PC and about five and a half years of online gaming through consoles.
