Yes actually, all that machinery is forerunner tech, they then bury under sand and rock. It is all explained in the terminals.

The Arbiter made it because he was on the side that made it through the portal.

wow i cant really support your theory with new facts... but DAMN this seems plausible you really took your time to think about this didnt you? its pretty cool The only problem i've been thinking about is, what if you ARE right, and there is a Halo 4 based on what you've said? What would you use as weapons? sure there are a few guns and maybe a single warthog on whats left of Dawn, but that's still not enough to support a full story for a 4th game. dont you dare suggest that master chief would make swords or bows because that would BLOW!

The star being young proves in now way of him going back in time nor it being our solar system. I personnally belive it is Onyx because it has a metalic look to it, and when GoO eneded it was surrounded by sentinels. Also, on the level "The Ark" at the end all of the sentinels going into slip space on a priority mission, they could be headed for Onyx, eventhough Halo 3 takes place quite awhile after GoO does.

and if our sun was blue that was umm, 100,000 years ago when the forerunners were doing their shiz. a sun changes luminosity and stuff over millions of years, oh, earth would have to be further away from that star because it would indeed be a hell of a lot hotter on the surface of that plant. IN BRIEF , if that was Earth no life would have ever been on it.

a star does change colors as it gets older, it fuzes diff elements, our sun was never blue!!! our sun for example was at first red... then yellow like today then red again in ist red giant phase and then white after red giant. It will and never has been blue

All stars start off blue and as they age they use up their fuel i.e. Hydrogen; then they start to burn off helium and change color.

And ontop of that as a star ages it burns hotter, therefore changing from orange to blue, so plz stufoo, k thx. [Edited on 10.28.2007 6:36 PM PDT]
