I was preparing for the glorious invasion. The mission was simple. Get in, destroy the Reach forums and claim it for our glorious Flood. All I had to do was give the troops the order, and the Reach forums would finally be ours. So many years of fighting. So many years of Ninja Justice, we would have had an ending to things. All the banned accounts that we could have saved. All those accounts, that could have been here today. They didn't suspect a thing, we had the element of surprise. Then I got the call. It was command. I heard crying on the other line. Then he told me. "Bungie struck first, it's over. I'm sorry, The Flood is dead." For a few seconds I heard only silence, then gunshots. That was it. Everything we fought for, all of it died with The Flood. Our purpose, our identity, all gone. I cancelled the attack, we marched to the shattered ruins of what was once our great, glorious Flood. I think that day we all truly died inside. Every year, I remember the Flood's last words. "Has Below Rader been changed in BF3?" I walk to it's grave, and place an envelope filled with toast in front of the headstone, because The Flood was, and always has been, my love.

I was in a dream. A hummingbird approached me, landed on my shoulder, and sang a beautiful song. I ask, "what was taht song my little feathered freind?" He tweeted in reply, "flood is kill." I awoke from my terrible nightmare, still fearful. To ease my troubled thoughts, I decided to check b.net, to assure myself that only something so horrible could be a dream. ... "No."

I was in the school library. I went to a nearby computer to see if B.Next was up, and so it was. I checked groups, saw everything was deleted, and I silently walked away from the computer after signing out, tears in my eyes.
