Life changed in many ways right after that incident. Inexplicable but true. Before that people could point to the attack on the World Trade Center for things changing a lot in the US. Being able to meet friends and family at the gate in an airport, not having a security check at entertainment venues such as Disneyland. America became a much more paranoid country after that. But Harambe… before Harambe kids used to ride their bikes around their neighborhood without adult supervision. Movies, comics, games, so many things just started to go downhill. People socialized in person more often. Not everything can be blamed on the virus and subsequent lockdown. Not the enshitification of entertainment at least. But it was only a couple of months later that Ghostbusters 2016 was released, the beginning of the end.
