I’ve beat the other souls games and then it was years before I started Elden ring. I farmed to level 40 something and put it down. I got lost and kept getting pawned.
My questions are, is it much harder or am I rusty? Is there markers I’m missing to lead me forward? Are can you over level in early game to make it easier? I’ve loved doing that since I was a kid, I’d farm for hours until I could smash most things.
Lastly is there’s worth it?
FYI I’m playing a samurai and thinking of going for a bleed build.

Realized all the grammar, drunk posted lol. Basically I want to know should I farm for levels. Does it make it noticeably easier? When I play, I don’t want a serious challenge barring maybe the boss mechanics. I want to be able to slay out of most world enemies.

Level Vigor!
Elden Ring is basically designed so that once you hit a wall, you can come back later when you’ve grown stronger. There’s some pretty fun weapons if you’re going Dex/Arc. FromSoft also made some of their most beautiful landscapes in ER, so for me it’s worth it. Fun bosses too. Try going south.
1 返信The difficulty curve isn't as well defined as other Souls games due to the open world nature of the game. So, whether you find it easier than the others or harder is really just going to depend on how thoroughly you explore things. As for whether it's worth it... The game is fine, but I do rate it lower than the other Souls games. It's the only one I didn't buy the DLC for, and I don't really see myself ever playing it again, unlike DaSII, DaSIII or Bloodborne. Not sure how far you are, but I would say get to the Lakes of Liurnia. If you're not enjoying it by that point, you won't enjoy the rest of it, but that is the best area, so you might start to enjoy it once you get there. That's what happened for me. Almost gave up on the game multiple times until I reached that zone, but then I started to have a bit of fun.
