My Witcher 3 playthrough... continued....

Last night I began the hybrid reverse in earnest... I finished Poet Under Pressure at 17, and then I decided to start Skelliga for map access and Practium in Alchemy. The issue was, there's a few actions that will reset your gear. At 16 I decided to really be ready for B&W underleveled... I had already runed my Blade of the bits. I got the Feline silver doing something else, I remember now... Junior's, behind a breakable wall. I saw req was 17,and that reminded me that Griffin enhanced was only 18. So, I upgraded the set... added a slot to the chest and silver, then I runed them. Arrow Deflection was the top priority as I mentioned earlier. Then I wanted to put Dumplings on the Silver... which are unique rune stones. So, I had to get the plans. Originally, I was going to switch to Feline, but I haven't met Kiera yet... there's probably other ways to get in, but I don't have the eye... I'm trying to avoid most major ****, everything I can... I want basically the full game after I leave B&W or it defeats the purpose. So, I couldn't get the plans I needed yet. Griffin I could... and there's a Wolf potion, usb card consumable that lets you equip and use equipment +2 for 2 in-game hrs. And even when it expires you keep it on... unless... Your gear gets reset, I knew that it could happen but didn't remember all the conditions... like if you get a haircut, it will take your armor off. And when I traveled to Skelliga... so I was in a bad way for a min, one sword... naked otherwise. I still refused to do anything major for that level... so I did some fistfights, and that got me back over 18. Then I grabbed a potion of clearance and respec'd... I removed Gourmet, because although Dumplings synergizes with it it, I don't need to heal for 20 mins... I'd rather have an extra slot. I have ultimate vanilla Yarden, so slept on... and Igni... to compare and contrast their utility and efficacy per the feedback I'm doing. Igni is OP as ****, I don't even have it maxxed out yet. I used Yarden for the mine fight before B&W and it really is amazing against extremely overleveled enemies. In fact, I killed Golyat with it... I had to reset that fight because not what I wanted. I bought the game again, ultimate edition... so a fresh set of achievements and one has you bullseye the Goliath through a slit on his bucket helmet in the eye. It's a little tricky without slowdown... which I spec'd for in the past. Still, only took 2 attempts. And now I'm in B&W. My number 1 priority is get Excalibur asap... I need to do the feats of valor to be worthy for the fight. Then, imo... I'll have arguably the 2 best Swords in the game. Here's a link to the first topic. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/265235640?sort=0&page=0 I'll chronicle my playthrough... as I'm doing it anyway for CDPR. Igni needs to be pulled back in the Witcher 4, and I don't think time should stop going into your inventory. There's bomb glitch too... that randomly prevents me from throwing them... and that needs to fixed for W4... I've lost more than a few fights. Because everything basically one shots me right now, like .25 secs can force a reload. And getting stuck trying to literally throw bombs has meant I've taken hits... that effectively make me reset the encounter... and that's been a little annoying. And I want one higher difficulty... we'll see if that analysis holds as I enter B&W at 18. More updates to come. 😇👍💠

Minor update: So, I went and got Excalibur... 😅; it wasn't easy. It was worth it, and it wasn't... it didn't have a level req before, now it's 35 so I can't use it. It used to be completing the 5 tests, and then beating the Hermit would grant you it immediately as an equippable sword. Each test 4/5 has a req of 36+ at default, and the Hermit is no joke. So they basically nerfed the sword, because it's mechanically unique... scales on skill gap, dmg dealt offset by dmg received building towards a threshold. When that threshold is met? It permanently levels up, and the process repeats. This encourages mindful and methodical sword play even on lower difficulties... a combat trainer is basically built into the sword. It didn't need a level req because of that... but I get it, the early you get the sword... the easier the enemies will be, thus you can juice the sword. However, to do that previously took some effort. It was OP... I guess I get it. A little hiccup, I was hoping to be able to use it. I'm 20 now. B&W is going great, no major points where I got stuck... I had to run away from a panther I tried to fight... not the quest, just a random one... lol. Tougher than anything I've fought thus far. To add: the reason I'm a little bummed, maybe it won't matter... I might be able to level to req if I close out the map... I wanted to use it for the Tournament. Because you can slow play the fights and really level it up.
