OP isn't blaming Sony. He's talking about the Sony DEAL. This IS the fault of Pete and a couple other C suite executives who likely committed fraud by overvaluing Destiny and Marathon. Sony thought they were buying multiple, profitable IPs. However the reality is Marathon wasn't even half baked and featured what I will very generously call "uncredited" art design. Now Bungie is all hands on deck to make it look like Marathon is an actual, viable game and not just a broken pvp mode with no customer base. Destiny is on the back burner because they can just claim they are polishing future dlcs while showing that the game still has players. This claim is dubious as I highly doubt there will still be new D2 content 18 months from now. . TLDR: Bungie is scrambling to make it look like they didn't steal a billion dollars from Sony.
