How to ruin a "fun" event
1. Make a PVP element that requires wins to earn/gild the title
That's it. That's all you ever have to do.
Oh, and throw in the following to really make it painful:
2. Bungie's legendary team balancing that puts players on massive losing streaks against some seriously sweaty opponents.
3. Weapon mods that allow for weapons that should not 1-shot, to now 1-shot in PVP.

1 返信Yea, all of these mini events are just going to make people give up on the game entirely. But I guess Bungie is in desperation mode to keep player count over 10k every week. Numbers like concurrent players should not matter. Honestly the game only needs 3 events a year if any. Resources would be better used on dlc quality.

1 返信Imagine caring about getting or gilding seals for content you don't enjoy 🤣 Why do you want it so bad? Having things and / or showing off makes you feel special? Screw that. If I don't enjoy something I don't do it and I don't complain either.

Honestly, the 1-tap doesn't bother me that much, I quite like it. However, the "air-firing" mod that super-boosts your speed and gives way too much of an advantage to keyboard and mouse players on bows with the aim-down-sights perk is just ridiculous... ^^ Those guys are way too fast for my age, lol

22 通の返信The thing with "THIS" bungie team, all they care about is money. All their events are always focused on everpurse, and can you blame them? There's always a good amount of ppl that throw money at their store. There should always be 2 options. Go about it pve way, or do pvp. I dont get it either, that they force pvp or just pve. Ppl argue this is a pve game some argue, it's both. So why not have multiple options then. If its both, then let players choose whether they want to go about it pvp way or pve. But after all these years of them no listening. Why would they now?

Do we really think people are cheating in a wacky, short-term event like Arms Week? I play on console, 2500 hours in the crucible, I don't think I've seen any cheaters, like ever. Once in a while somebody is laggy, but that's rare. I'm not saying I don't believe you, but where do you play, is this a PC problem? I have really enjoyed this week-long event. Got a solo clear of the Warlord's dungeon with Bow/Glaive/Sword, mods that are popping off in PvE and helping me get EQ Cutthroat clears for friends and clanmates, and a crucible mode without abilities and supers is a refreshing change. I would never have grabbed a bow and glaive and jumped into the crucible on my own, so good one Bungie, it worked. The one-shot Tungsten mod is hilarious, I had a great time completing the title and the reward track, and you have a fifty-fifty chance of winning or losing each game, it's not hard just keep playing. People complain there's not enough to do, the sandbox is stale, the meta is boring, and new content is pushed back. Well, Bungie just provided a short-term, off-meta, fresh take on activities with new loot, Challenges, Triumphs, a Seal, a reward track, and mods that are doing crazy things for a short while. Nice!

The long cheating issue still remains, and worse, outlier protection guaranteed to matchmake against the cheaters. Either make PVP entirely optional, or bring back skill-based. Period

Embrace the suck, because the only thing you can do is refuse to do the event or dig deep inside yourself to find the strength to dominate this bro. Don’t lie to yourself and assume you’re a failure for getting ripped apart, you’re a failure if you decide to fully quit and not go back in for more to hone yourself and add more layers of grit onto you man. This goes beyond pvp, do what you need to for you but don’t let this message I sent to you fall to deaf ears, I fear yours to Bungholio will:(

The only reason the event even has a highlight is due to what most likely is an unintended outcome - the bow chunk. As for the rest: * Broken event - check * Focus on weapon types people typically dont use and dont want to use - check * Adding a dungeon aspect the majority of players cant be bothered with even without the weapon restictions - check * The typical - and required - move to PvE or PvP in what otherwise can be completed in one lane - check

IMHO: There are really just two things that spoil playing a PvP element viz P2P and Xim- / Cronus- / Titan-assisted goons…and there are way too many of them. The ‘A-grade’ PvE element required to gild the seal, is one I have zero interest in doing, due mostly to the Neomuna Overtuna (N.O.) vibe, which simply grinds my gears. For example: yesterday, I noticed I needed to do an Expert Conquest run, it being the final thing needed to advance my current GR to the next level. So, into the Sunless Cell I go…which I thought was an automatic matchmaking event. It wasn’t. No problemo! I got to the final boss fight, eventually, and being an Avant Garde (penaliser) buff, swapping guns was limited. So…I got overwhelmed a few times by the creepy overtuned hordes, and back to the start point for this fight. Managed to actually drop the first boss by switching a few weapons around, then was very quickly overwhelmed again by a nonstop flood of overtuned creatures, which appeared out of the very darkness at every turn… It was ridiculous! I should have known better…what a waste of my time! 🤔 Marathon - forget it! 👈 My engagement with this game is already at an all time low…even for an old vanilla tortoise, like me…there’s more fun to be had in not playing on this sinking ship, than playing musical chairs on the poop deck. The Wretches In Destiny. 🤡🤑🤡 Steam Game Cube + Steam Game Library - may well be my next project… 😎 That is all. Ease Strings! 🖖👻 MTFBWY
