EoF was worst and every mission was a drag. I did not like needless puzzles and floating around as a ball of lighting. All weapons and armour were useless as soon as renegade released. Renegade was better but marginally. You can only do exfil, invasions or portal so many times after getting bored. Exfil was overused in campaign tbf so post campaign had no charm for me. Quit during my holiday travel and don't have any desire to play D2 anymore.
Note for BDF: I was checking the forums to see if anything good is worth coming back to but saw this post trending so there you go for your mindless question of "why are you here if you quit?"
Exfil was overused in the campaign? Ok, wake up time sir.
Look at the 'campaign' - all 70 steps, I think there's a 13 step & then a 57 step. It's a season from the nether year, in all but name. Remember back then when we levelled up vendors, talked to npcs week after week, we even had no health regen during nether.
The nether year was when we went to 3 episodes, from 4 seasons, bigger seasons but cost 50% more (£15 compared to £10) - Joe Blackburn said the year earlier they were doing away with npc visits, vendor rankups, & he said they were working on new gambit maps, but it would take time, but then they announced no more gambit support, moving to 3 episodes from 4 seasons & then Joe left suddenly, despite saying he was staying until final shape released.
Bungie knew all the way back then that expansions were being cut, moving to episodes was a ruse to move to 3 per year & hold renegades back to use as a mini dlc. You can see the cuts in renegades were there's supposed to be weekly gaps, you can see the text boxes that they've added to fill other gaps for zavala & aunor & blue, 3 actors who haven't worked on destiny since pre final shape over 2 years ago.
Sorry for the long winded way to say, we overdid exfil in campaign because it was built by the nether team when we used to run the seasonal activity every week - makes much more sense when you see it as a season in 1 go.
No idea what your point is... my point was simple. Bungie had no content as always and this time it was more boring than last time.
If you are saying the same thing then I obviously agree otherwise I still don't know what you are trying to say.
