Sooooo... You do not play but it's terrible. So you really have no idea. Just a bandwagon parroting of the nattering neighbobs of negativity. Trials not going your way?

Of course you do. Unless you possess no individuality, creativity, or agency in your life. I guess you could just listen to the loudest voices around you and pattern your reality on whatever they say. Seems kind of lame. Good thing we don't all do that. I'm glad Picasso, Einstein, and Stan Lee didn't do that. No rock and roll, electric vehicles, or liberated women. In fact I guess we'd all just worship the third rock from the left in the cave. But you do you. Let someone else make up your mind for you. Then just spray your meaningless shyt out into the world. Just don't expect anyone to take you seriously.

Howiepenguinにより編集済み: 12/23/2025 11:14:49 AMMy god you're rambling hard today. I'm sorry you have a mental ineptitude and cannot appraise something without having to waste your time and money. All your examples are kinda worthless here and don't pertain to the actual subject at hand. If anything, ramblin billy, your arguments are using whataboutism. Which is a form of fallacy used by people to bolster an argument when it has nothing to do with what is being argued.

ramblin and rambling ain't the same thing pardner You use a lot of terms you don't understand. So you use them incorrectly. You dismiss arguments because you don't understand them. I don't know if you're intellectually lazy or struggling. You don't seem to understand the underlying context. Should your worldview be based on your own experience or just a reflection of what the people around you have to say? In life, there often comes a time when a person comes to the realization that they are not as smart as they think they are. For me it was during a graduate level class in formal logic while I was pursuing my Philosophy degree. I had an incredibly hard time internalizing the relationship between equations used in formal logical arguments and equations used in theoretical mathematics. I had always been told that I could do anything I wanted and I believed it - so far so good don't you know. But during that time I crossed theoretical physicist off the list. I think I had the smarts but I didn't believe I had the resolve or the discipline. It was a sobering realization but the beginning of the path to finding myself. That day is surely coming for you. I don't think you're stupid, just lazy. You probably get away with overwhelming most of the people around you with intelligent sounding bullshyt. If you ever get serious about things that's not going to be good enough. The people that are really going to matter are going to call you on it. Or worse yet they won't say a word and just dismiss you as a waste of time.

Howiepenguinにより編集済み: 12/23/2025 12:14:30 PMWhat a ramble. So....what? You had the realization that you were in the midst of a dunning kruger effect because you believed what people told you, and you're taking it out on me? Happy you got it off your chest? Did it make you feel better? Holier than thou, now? Jeez, you're dense.

You don't understand the Dunning-Kruger effect. Googling trendy buzz concepts doesn't mean you understand them. As a matter of fact you're illustrating the negative ramifications of the concept. People of lesser ability overestimate their competence. But people of greater ability underestimate theirs because they recognize how much there is to learn. After cruising through my successful academic career with minimal effort it was a sobering wakeup to bump my head on something I struggled to understand. It showed me there was another level. A level that requires a different degree of commitment. Perfect grades and academic honors are meaningless when you're dealing with the most complex and esoteric concepts in human endeavor. The people you deal with only care about the work you do. I knew I was competent, some called me brilliant, but to make a meaningful contribution at the highest levels requires a commitment to dedicating your life to the pursuit. 45 years ago I couldn't imagine sacrificing everything else in my life. But when you see the higher rungs on the ladder you can also look down. That's the upside of the D-K effect. It was about that time I began to understand the underlying truths behind politics, advertising, and nowadays, internet fame. People are selfish, lazy, and stupid. It's true about all of us to some degree and many of us don't know it. Keep in mind that you're not a hotdog if you can cut the mustard. I'd tell you to do better but I don't know if you can. If you're lucky one day you will.

It's being received well by the people I play with. There are positive posts right here in this forum. Some people think that the collaboration was handled well. But none of that matters because that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about making a claim about the value of something without experiencing it. Like saying a movie is garbage without watching it. Or a food tastes bad without trying it. Or a song is terrible without listening to it. If you want to live your life based on someone else's opinions that's your prerogative. But if you're going to parrot their opinions couched as facts you better be ready to get called out. And you better be ready for people to lose respect for you. You can make your own decisions or you can go along with the herd. But with the herd at some point you'll probably find yourself somewhere you don't really want to be. You've maxed out your characters. It's hard to understand how you've come that far in a "garbage" game.
But none of that matters because that's not what we're talking about
You say this then go on to talk about things that don't pertain to the argument at hand and are just whataboutisms. You seem to have discounted the fact that most of us on here are 10+ year veterans of this game. That would make us masters at something if the 10,000 hr thing is to be held true. That being said a master can easily appraise something before even touching it. Your fallacies are shallow and don't hold up well when we have plenty of experience dealing with Bungie's poor decisions and playing this game. Though we don't currently play because we do not like what we see and what has been done to our game.

Nerd_Herdにより編集済み: 12/23/2025 9:16:36 AMI mean it should be well received by those players remaining. Because people who don't , just stopped playing and leave. Or you know the rest of us who foolishly preordered the expansions and are simply maximising what they payed for before buggering off. And again, seeing empirical facts about the massive decline in player count, especially when it is lower than EoF, the collab was not a draw for many. Online reviews and sentiment are therefore accurate. Renegades was an ok expansion / season, but saying it's great is a real stretch. Fyi, please point out where did I say this was "garbage game". And btw, reaching 550 is easy now, mainly because how Bungie was forced to revert their changes after almost of 6 months of terrible management. Its not rocket science What is truly puzzling is that you disparage people who don't play the game and think its bad based on reviews and community sentiment, yet complain about players like me who actually played this game significantly as you pointed out, say this game is simply not very good. Essentially you have proven you will not accept any complaints about this game., from any source.
Essentially you have proven you will not accept any complaints about this game., from any source
Just another toxic positivity person from what it sounds like. Doesn't like seeing negative things about the game so they create an echo chamber and have surround themselves with it. Then they get the backfire affect when they finally see someone or something that is negative about the thing they only see as positive because of said circle/echo chamber they have created for themselves.

Well said, the events of post EoF have proven that Bungie will only listen when we shout our disapproval into their faces AND stop playing. I do not intend to return after this expansion. My friends have almost all disappeared after EoF and the endgame players have mostly buggered off with the collapse of the old raids.
