bungies new gang hasn't figured out the fine line between player engagement and over the top not worth your time game play. timers, revives and nerf modifiers in end game only leads to less revenue . who evers running things could sure use some pointers.

Talia Senduaにより編集済み: 12/5/2025 10:05:38 PMI think it's a lack of experience from the younger devs in charge now. This is textbook video game design tbh. If you want to make a player engage with difficulty, tie the best rewards behind it, put them up either with systemic pressure (like timers and modifiers) or active pressure (AI abilities and aggressiveness).

Dooodleyにより編集済み: 12/4/2025 4:54:28 PMThat's exactly it. They think they're extending game time but instead they're just pushing people away. With how things currently are we're not even spending one run on something that should take 5 minutes but takes 15. Had it taken 5 minutes we probably would have played for hours though. That's how I currently feel about the portal , I'm just not touching it at all anymore until they fix it because getting one-shot by an enemy from half across the map is not fun in a daily activity.

It they just added a new public patrol destination with some new loot, I would sink countless hours into the game…and would have bought the DLC. The Portal…nope. Played it a bit when it first came out. It quickly became a boring slug fest. Not engaging or fun.
