Was playing the sieve to finish getting my last 3 God rolls for the lmg, pulse, and scout.
It's honestly pretty fun but really wish the sieve was a public event and Kepler was more socially inclined.
Same for the pale heart, Bungie shying away from planetary locations being more social and public events is one of the biggest forms of content that made destiny fun in my opinion.
I still miss doing public events on titan, was one of my favorite locations aside from Io
How is it, that not one person at Bungie had the thought;
"We should put The Sieve in The Portal"
An even bigger crime occurred yesterday, when still nobody had that thought and done it with the Renegades update.
The Steve?
He comes around every weekend to take the kids but I think they call him Xûr now and he keeps saying his Will is not his own. Probably talking about Will Smith.
Yeah because there’s no way to like see when it’s going to be up unless you’re constantly checking it in the planet
They really need to do something like Warframe does. When a new event is up sometimes you get ordis or lotus telling you that there’s an activity and to check xyz to see it.
I ran it last night to complete the triumph for the 3 unique bosses. The sieve is a fun little event. What lets it down is the long lockout timer. Why you can’t play it constantly is beyond me.
I often forgot about the Sieve, then I would remember it, check to see if I could play it, and of course it would almost inevitably be on cooldown.
Bungie ought to have put a timer or something in the Portal at least, and I do mean at least, at most they could have just not put it on a timer and actually placed it in the Portal for us to access. (Fine, throw on a "You must own the Edge of Fate expansion pack to access this activity" disclaimer or something.)
And the sad thing is I even kind of enjoyed the Sieve when I played it, it wasn't a bad activity! We had a mini-horde mode, escalation, tiered scoring, it almost reminded me of the Season of the Witch activity in some ways. I would have played it way more often if it hadn't been on blamming cooldown all the time.
Bungie should iterate on the gameplay mechanics of the Sieve, but move entirely away from the time gating and semi-hidden access. I ended up getting most of my Kepler weapons from the loot cave, which was not nearly as much fun to play as the Sieve.
Edit: Unrelated, but Onslaught should have its own tab in the Portal.
